24.01.2022 It’s been a while since I did a hair transformation post, so here it is! target - to cover some grey regrowth and go back to a healthier, more natural colour with soft reflects. so we did a warm chocolate brown base with very fine caramel baby lights for a softer look Finished off with a short one length bob for thicker sharper look

22.01.2022 IMPORTANT UPDATE! VK Hair artistry will be TEMPORARILY CLOSED as of 9pm tonight! I am sure most of you by now will have seen last nights announcement given by the PM regarding new laws to hairdressing salons, effective midnight tonight.... Whilst were currently allowed to remain open, appointment times are strictly limited to 30 minutes maximum per client. As anyone who has ever sat in my chair will know, there are NO services I can perform in under 30mins. So it is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes that I have made the decision to TEMPORARILY close the salon. (AND I DO MEAN TEMPORARILY!!!!) Since starting my business 4yrs ago, I have prided myself on being able to offer you a unique, private one on one experience, offering nothing less than exceptional service to the highest standard. I could not possibly continue to offer the you that same quality of service that you are used to in such a small amount of time. And the quality of my work will never ever be compromised! Baring that in mind, that did make this part of the decision easy to make in this difficult situation we are all facing. Today will be business as usual. And I am fully booked. So for anyone with future appointments may I beg you to please bare with me I will be in touch personally with each and every one of you privately as soon as humanly possible. One last request, please PLEASE do not rush out and box dye your hair! This is never the answer, and will only cause more problems down the track PRODUCTS will still be available for you purchase during this closure time. 21.01.2022 A damage double-whammy: hair is weakest when its wet, and wet hair is more prone to tangling. To prevent shower-induced snarls, give your hair a brush before hopping in. If you like to comb in the shower, apply conditioner, untangle strands with your fingers, then use a wide-toothed comb before rinsing. #haircare

21.01.2022 This client wanted a lighter, more cleaner blonde result but still keeping a soft contrast. So we did 3/4 head foils of 2 clean blonde foils with a neutral brown scattered through using olaplex to keep hair in optimal condition. We then toned to neutralise and soften any remaining warmth. ... Finished with a good trim and smooth blow dry Another #happyclient

19.01.2022 Hair transformations are fun, but on a day to day basis I also do a lot of hair maintenance. Many of my clients come back regularly to keep their hair in top form and their colour consistently nice and bright. With this particular client we did 3/4 baby lights foiled combination of soft neutral brown and soft gold, followed by a trim and soft curls using Muk Curl Stick V2. 16.01.2022 I thought my first post back after an impromptu posting hiatus should be this beautiful little number Target - a lighter, brighter and cleaner looking blonde, but with softer looking regrowth for low maintenance. to achieve this we did a full head of teasy lights foils (this involves back combing every section at the roots, then fine weaving and applying colour a few centimetres from the roots for a seamless blend, painting through to the mid lengths to lighten more).... After processing the foils the colour is rinsed and a soft ash toner was applied to neutralise some of the warmth. We then finished off with a K18 leave in molecular repair mask and good trim. results- simply stunning

12.01.2022 CLIENT TRANSFORMATION This client hadnt been to the salon for over 5 months, she was getting tired of balayage and was feeling too light. So we did a root stretch to blend in some greys matching her natural colour, then did a full head of lowlights to add some depth. Once processed, we toned down the existing blonde to a more deeper, richer caramel to soften the mid lengths of her hair.... Result: a more natural, softer, low maintenance look! #happyclient

12.01.2022 CLIENT TRANSFORMATION This new client had very old, very delicate, previously overprocessed highlights. Target: a deep, rich, warm chocolate colour with superior shine and condition. We pre-pigmented the hair as it was extremely damaged and porous. This allows for much better longevity of the target colour. We then applied the rich chocolate base colour and finished with a good cut of the ends to remove all broken split ends.... Result: stunning, healthy, shiny hair! #happyclient

11.01.2022 This clients target was to maintain a soft balayage blend from her natural colour, whilst cleaning out the gold in her mid-lengths. So we did fresh teasy lights through the parting and top section, then free hand painted through the mid-lengths for more lift. Once processed we then toned the blonde to a clean platinum. After performing Muks intense repair mask, we finished with a good trim of the split ends and a smooth blow dry. result = perfect

11.01.2022 Clients target - a lighter, brighter, cleaner looking blonde so we did a balayage freehand technique through the back and sides, then did very fine baby light foils through the top to keep the regrowth super natural! we then did Muks deep moisture mask to replenish and finished with a good trim and smooth blow dry. another happy client

11.01.2022 This new client wanted to tone down the brassy tones in her previously coloured hair, but but wanted to remain fair. So we did a 3/4 head of baby fine foils using a combination of a clean lighter blonde, mixed in with a neutral brown for a soft contrast. We then did a sharp one length lob and finished off with a cheeky little undercut to remove some weight extra weight. ... Another #happyclient

09.01.2022 This client was tired of the high maintenance that came with being blonde. Her hair was feeling dry, fragile and lacklustre. So we decided to go back to a deep, rich, chocolate base. To achieve this we first had to pre-pigment the blonde hair to a copper to avoid a khaki/translucent colour. Once processed we applied our target colour rich chocolate brown.... We finished off with a good treatment, trim, and blow dry. Another happy client! #hairtransformation

07.01.2022 AN IMPORTANT UPDATE PLEASE READ To all my amazing clients,... In light of the current Coronavirus situation, I just wanted to touch base with you all and update you on a number of changes been made to the way I am operating. Hand sanitizer and disposal gloves are now available on your station. Along with bottled water and disposable cups. Even longer crossover times between appointments have been made. This allows me adequate time to thoroughly disinfect, air and sanitise all surfaces, chairs, door handles/rails etc, before EVERY client arrival. Also, as many of you know my parents were due to arrive from the UK next Wednesday. Obviously their health and safety along with yours, is my top priority, so sadly this visit has now been cancelled. As a courtesy to the salon and other clients I would like to make the following requests; 1. if you are feeling unwell or displaying any flu like symptoms, please postpone your appointment 2. If you have returned from international travel in the past two weeks please call to discuss your appointment with me. In some cases it will be necessary to postpone your appointment. 3. If you reside in a house that has someone who is under self quarantine please postpone your appointment. 4. Please use the hand sanitizer provided upon your arrival. 6. New magazines have still been provided, however feel free to bring your own reading material. You can never be too careful when it comes to your health. Together we can all make a difference by being aware and more compassionate. Please bare in mind I have clients of ALL ages.
