24.01.2022 Rhonda’s cute 1949 Vauxhall Wyvern came to visit me today.
16.01.2022 Picnic @ Glenbrook. Great to be out. More photos later.
15.01.2022 Short but sweet run in the Wyvern
14.01.2022 The Nash will be getting new tyres all round over the next week. To most the tyres on it look to be in good nick. But to me, who knows the age of the 2 rear tyres - old Custom Classic cases under Big Tyre retreads that were done about 12 years ago, and on the front almost no-wear Goodrich Silvertowns but both over 10 years old, it’s time for all those tyres to be retired due to their age. They will be put to good use on a rolling chassis and replaced with a new set of Goodrich Silvertowns that John DeBrincat brought in from the US. The old tubes have long valve stems that are perishing - they may well be older than the tyres, so a new set of tubes comes from Russell Holden at Old World Lamps & Tyres, Mudgee.
13.01.2022 Some more photos from Glenbrook today.
08.01.2022 Who likes cleaning wire wheels? I certainly don’t. One down and ten to go. Ie one 6 wheel equipped Sunbeam and one 5 wheel equipped Sunbeam!
03.01.2022 Covid and two back surgeries has meant I haven’t had either Sunbeams out for over a year. Pumped up the tyres and did a few jobs today .....fingers crossed car and driver might make the next vmc covid safe run on November 8th
