24.01.2022 Today we are replacing commercial high wattage flood lights for LED flood lights, cutting energy usage by more than half, and increasing the "maintenance-free" period of the light fitting. This is a smart move for businesses as many have such floodlights on for up to 10 hours per night = great energy savings.

22.01.2022 This quote from the below article, particularly caught our attention... In fact, the report even stated that: "In 46 of Americas 50 largest cities, a fully-financed, typically-sized solar PV system is a better investment than the stock market". The standard price for Tariff 11 Electricity usage in QLD is currently $0.279 per kWh, the cost of purchasing a 5kW Solar System (based on average power consumption of a family home) works out to approximately $0.166 per kWh, over 5 years, and only $0.0832 per kWh over 10 years! Who doesn't like a power cost that decreases over the coming years!?! As opposed to the ever increasing cost of Grid Electricity, every year without fail.

21.01.2022 Anything is possible - even with your existing Solar Panels. Here we gave our lovely Crestmead Clients a spruce up on their existing Solar System. Previously they had uneven rows of Solar Panels with 2 x different mounting systems used, just an ugly "dogs breakfast" all round, and all on their front, street facing roof section! As the client was getting there roof replaced, we were asked to remove & reinstall their Solar Panels. As they were getting an extension built onto th...e house we were able to advise them we would re-install the Solar Panels onto a North facing roof (previously they didn't have a North facing roof & the Solar Panels were facing South West) providing them more power at the right times of day to maximise the benefit of their "50cent Feed-in-Tariff". On top of this we added 6 more panels to their existing 22, bringing their System from 3.04kW to 4.24kW also maximising their power output with their 5kW Inverter. Together with a beautifully symmetrical installation and all new mounting components It was truly satisfying to provide our clients with a more powerful, more aesthetically pleasing almost brand new Solar System, using their existing 5kW Inverter and 16 of their existing Solar Panels. And it is now installed on their North facing roof which is not even visible from the street! We also gave the existing Solar Panels a nice new wash to squeeze the most power out of them (and make them look pretty) as possible

18.01.2022 From sunshiny roofs to the depths of the dark dungeons, there's not much the Vogel Solar & Electrical boys can't do - here they are replacing 40metres of 3phase 120mm (some big thick cables) with the help of a Ford van pulling them through at the other end, helping their mates at Wieland Electrical, to get power on to a large commercial warehouse today.
