24.01.2022 TELL A MATE, IN CASE YOU'RE LATE!! Tell someone where you are going fishing or cruising for the day. I cannot stress this enough. Yesterday, we received a call that a couple had not returned last night. Had booked a motel room, and definitely would not have been staying in the tinny overnight so friends were worried. BUT, they couldn't tell us where they had been fishing yesterday. Was it upriver, or one of the rivers close by, did they go east, west, north? They were found about 1/2 hour later by another tourist. Their dingy had overturned/sunk upriver and they had to swim! Picked up cold and wet - with only sore muscles from shivering all night. The crocs up here are large and plentiful. Very lucky - so TELL A MATE, IN CASE YOU'RE LATE!

16.01.2022 VMR Redemption now on it's way for a medivac after conducting another rescue yesterday. Well done yesterday in recovering the overturned vessel and all onboard safely. Nothing scarier then being in the water up here with crocs. Good luck today to the crew.
