04.01.2022 Ready to Boost!... We were thrilled to kick off our inaugural VolBoost training yesterday with eight leaders and managers of volunteers from various organisations across Melbourne's west. The first session, facilitated by Albury Wodonga Volunteer Resource Bureau & Multicultural Services, explored the importance of preparing for volunteers and the range of documents required to support a volunteer program. VolBoost is Volunteer West’s COVID adaptation training and support p...ackage to unlock the volunteering potential of small to medium sized organisations across Melbourne’s western suburbs. The training and support package will combine the Way2Go toolkit with a suite of other practical modules that will give your volunteering management a boost of confidence and growth! 03.01.2022 Discover the beautiful work of Aboriginal artist and Mandi Barton this NAIDOC week through her large-scale digital art installation Healing. Mandi, a Yorta Yorta woman living in Melbourne’s west, was commissioned by the City of Melton to address health and wellbeing messages related to the COVID-19 crisis and explore the impact on Indigenous connections, narratives and identities. The artwork is currently on display until Sunday, 15 November outside CS Gallery, next to Caro...line Springs Library and Learning Hub. In Mandi's word's: "Throughout the Covid-19 pandemic the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community has stepped up to the challenge. With our ingrained knowledge and strength we are readily prepared to ensure that there is no further trauma to our community members.
