Whether virtual or face to face, stay connected. ... 11.01.2022 Happy Tuesday! This week celebrates the 12th annual Social Inclusion Week! Created by Dr Jonathon Welch AM, founder of the award-winning Choir of Hard Knocks, Social Inclusion Week aims to help all Australians feel included and valued, giving everyone the opportunity to participate fully in society.... Social Inclusion Week is about connecting local communities, workmates, family and friends, in order to build and strengthen relationships or networks and address isolation and exclusion of those who may be marginalised. This year we face many challenges, but also recognise that there is no more important time to stay connected with each other and engaged with our community. Take a moment to check out the website and connect with those people in your lives that bring meaning and support to you and those around you! www.socialinclusionweek.com.au How will you connect, collaborate and celebrate? #SIW20 #isoinclusion #kindness #wellbeing #volunteeringgeelong

03.01.2022 Please see below message from our DHHS Colleagues of their advice and the resources available from DHHS for your organisation | agency | club | group to access and print or request a printed pack of posters DHHS Advice & Resources 1. The results of Victoria’s extensive coronavirus (COVID-19) testing program have been used to inform the recent easing of restrictions. Understandably, as restrictions have eased we are now seeing greater movement of people across the state. Yet... the virus is still in the community, we are in flu-season and there is still a way to go before we are in back to normal. 2. We all still have an important role to play and the Victorian Government is committed to ensuring that all Victorians are informed about coronavirus (COVID-19) and understand what they can do. That role right now is to keep an eye on ourselves and even with the slightest symptoms - we must get tested and we must stay home. 3. There are new resources being shared by DHHS that we hope you will be able to display (or share with your staff, colleagues, volunteers, family and friends)* the message being any symptoms, however mild, get tested. 4. To talk about your symptoms and to find out where you can get tested call the Corona Virus Hotline: 1800 675 398 (24 hours). 5.
