07.01.2022 Hi Australia, We are siblings, grown up in a little sleepy village in the western countryside of Germany. Our childhood was beautiful and we often played with friends outside on the farms or in the thick forest surrounding our town. Sometimes, we would see our grandfather driving along with his tractor. He would pick us up and take us for a ride over rich fields and farmland. In the evening when the day was about to set we came back home, mostly tired and always hungry.... But the day wasn’t over the best part of the day was about to comethe food. Our mother created the most delicious dishes, which tasted like heaven on earth and gave us the much needed energy for our next adventures. If we were lucky and we had warm and sunny weather, our father would say: This weekend we are having a barbeque! and this meant the most delicious German sausages you cannot imagine Now we grew older, our childhood is over and somehow the paths of life brought us to Australia. We do love it here! People are just as crazy as we arethe weather is always warm and sunny and sunsets are just beyond words. But sometimesjust sometimes we think back and there is something missing.Germany and its delicious and hearty food. So we thought and decided we bring a part of our tradition and childhoodour food to Australia. We thought we connect the past with the present and founded -von Berg-! A place where you can taste our delicious hearty German food, learn something about our tradition and culture and just have fun.
