25.01.2022 HAPPY 11TH BIRTHDAY to my heart dog, BANDIT (Vonammerberg Eldo) Every once in a while, a dog enters your life and changes everything... That dog for me was, BANDIT. I will be forever grateful to his breeder, Matt Stieler (now Ovaro Kennels), for giving me the opportunity to own such a dog, a dog that epitomises the definition of a working line German Shepherd.... BANDIT started his career as an Urban Search and Rescue Dog, before we transitioned and geared his development toward the working capability. As BANDIT continued to mature and develop, he continued to prove his workability and value, with interest from our state police. However, much to hubby’s dismay, I simply couldn’t let him go. So BANDIT stayed on, and continued to prove himself as a stud dog. An intelligent and highly workable animal, well known for his insatiable working drive, and his amazing temperament, passing these desired qualities on and very much stamping himself on his progeny. BANDIT has progeny, operational as Police Dogs and Corrective Services Dogs with QLD Police Service and QLD Corrective Services (still currently serving in both agencies), as well as titled in IPO/IGP sport and Herding. Progeny participating in obedience, agility, fly-ball, as well as with private security firms and PTSD therapy/assistance placements with returned Servicemen. BANDIT was utilised, as a stud, more externally, than within our own kennel, and was even utilised by a number of show line breeders, having a son who reached his Australian Champion title in the show ring - demonstrating BANDIT's true versatility as a working stud. 11 years ago, you hit the ground running, never without something in your mouth, and stealing my heart...we both know I’d have kicked the hubby out before you!! We both have a few more smile lines now, maybe a couple more grey hairs than we’d both like to admit, your teeth are worn...but you still always have something in your mouth, you’re still not wearing yourself out by stopping...and I’d still kick hubby out before you!! 03.01.2022 Today VONDARCOR TORVI was entered into the Continental Herding Club’s trial. There were some awesome dogs entered!! Corah and TORVI, had an absolute blast, with TORVI achieving a pass in her Herding Instinct Test, at 9 months old As well as achieving her HIT, TORVI and Corah received a Judges Encouragement Award - based on being trained in a completely different working discipline and Corah stepping out of her comfort zone for her very first trial alongside her dog ...
