25.01.2022 WE ARE OPEN! We have some new salads available today too! Fresh fruit salad and a Waldorf salad! Thought these might be good on a hot day like today! Don’t forget if you don’t want to come out of the house, we are delivering! ... It was nice to have a few days break, but we are also looking forward to getting back and seeing our friendly customers faces! Open 11 am till 7 pm!

22.01.2022 It's time to get into the spirit of giving. 2020 has been a topsy turvy kind of year! Here at Vorsty’s Fish and Chips we want to do something for the community. We have put a Wishing Gift Christmas Tree at our shop! People wishing to leave small non-perishable items or small gifts for others can do so under our tree. Please label with a tag stating an appropriate age and gender. Items received will be issued to charities and families doing it tough this festive season! Donations will be collected right up until the 24th of December.

We’ve been frying it up with our meat, but Jon has always done a yiros with raw onion, well that is until I came along anyway! so what’s your preference? Stay tuned for the verdict.... after the jury has spoken of course!

07.01.2022 We are currently feeling a little torn! We work extremely hard in our little business and we are told that we are doing a pretty good job! It’s the positive talk around town that makes us better at what we do. What’s hurtful though is coming home to negative reviews that aren’t really fair. Tonight we were super busy and just today alone we sold 30 kilos of butterfish! The fish is fresh, it does not sit in a cool room from any period of time! Our Bain Marie’s are constantly... temp checked! We are extremely cautious with our produce and would never serve anything our own family wouldn’t eat! To get reviews tonight saying our fish made someone instantly ill is disheartening! Not to mention that those two negative reviews (from one order) drop our ratings on Facebook and we would need over 20 positive reviews to get back up! It’s really tough and after the kick in the gut tonight we are just letting you all know we are turning reviews off! If people genuinely have a complaint they can contact us directly and we can sort it out. We are extremely down to earth and will do anything to rectify any mistakes we make! We have gone above and beyond on numerous occasions and will continue to give everything we can to the community and those visiting us! Onwards and upwards hey?!?! ** the reviews have since been removed ***

04.01.2022 What a day we had yesterday! It felt good to be back in the shop! We saw some regular faces, plus lots of new faces too! Thank you to everyone who has popped in and to everyone who shows continued support to our shop! We take a lot of pride in what we do and it makes us super happy to see our little business grow and to receive such positive feedback! Thanks again Mannum Community and our supporters! ...
