22.01.2022 There are no rainbows without the rain.
18.01.2022 Final MVCC Election Results. No Stephen Bradbury for me and Team Gallus, once again many thanks for all who supported me in running a truthful, grass roots community engaged campaign. Sadly the community didn’t value that as highly as what other candidates brought to the table. Congratulations to all candidates who were elected. I wish them well in representing out community for the next 4 years.
14.01.2022 MVCV Election update for Team Gallus as follows. Tomorrow afternoon will have an indication if we are in the running.
06.01.2022 100% MVCC Buckley Ward Primary Vote counted. Many thanks to the 806 people who honoured me with their vote. Sitting 10th. Preferences to be counted at 9am tomorrow. Still need a Stephen Bradbury miracle to get up. Not over til it is over.
03.01.2022 Hold the presses I have just been told that I am, just like Carlton making the finals, a slight mathematical chance to still be elected with more late votes to be counted next week and then preferences to be distributed. Can I be the next Stephen Bradbury? Only time will tell. It certainly will be a miracle. It is not over until it is over!
01.01.2022 A great man of the City of Moonee Valley told me recently that the definition of insanity is to do the same thing and expect a different result. I congratulate those campaigners that are leading the Buckley Ward count and I thank my wife and kids, my parents and all at Team Gallus, especially my campaign manager Liz, who supported me in this election campaign. I thank the 456 people out of 13,300 who honoured my honesty and community grass roots campaign with their vote. Life... is full of disappointments and I’ll bounce back tomorrow but to say I am extremely disappointed is an understatement. After 25 years of giving back to the City of Moonee Valley in education, sport and volunteer work my value in the community and what I could bring to the role of councillor was not recognised. Thanks to all those for getting AllaboardtheGTrain. It was a fun ride while it lasted and all your amazing support was so much appreciated. I apologise to all at Team Gallus for not being able to get across the line for you and get a win in politics for the honest, community engaged grass roots campaigner. I did my best for you all but sometimes in life your best is just not good enough. Preferences are still to be distributed but as this door closes I look forward to the next one opening. See more
