25.01.2022 Even when it is overcast there is innate beauty in Ornamental Lake in the Botanical Gardens. #melbourne #melbournecity
22.01.2022 I was walking by the Botanical garden today and saw something that I could not ignore. A memorial that has been tagged by a graffiti. While I am absolutely against the action itself it highlights the level to which the respect for the police in the community has fallen. Note this is not a political graffiti but more of hooliganism variety.... 12 months ago even the concept of the Police Memorial being defaced would have been unthinkable, now it is a reality. Victoria Police I urge you to see this not only as vandalism but an indication of the need to work on community engagement
21.01.2022 Cafes and shops might be open again but lets not forget who closed them - a bit of pre-Halloween spirit (thank you Liberal Democrats NSW for the inspiration)
09.01.2022 Despite the fact that both the CHO and Police Commissioner both stated that they did not ask for an 8 pm. curfew, the fact that the only research into curfew showed it as poor approach to stop the disease spread and the fact that it was essentially proven that it was done more to make it easier for government to police the population rather than a genuine disease prevention measure the Supreme Court found that it was within the range of reasonable decisions that could be made. This decision concerns me deeply as it sets a legal precedent to curtailing human rights & civil liberties based on very small burden of proof.
09.01.2022 The results for the election for Melbourne City Council came in. Unfortunately I fell 80 votes short (out of roughly 90k cast) to secure the seat. A major issue was a preference deal backstabbing. Having said that I want to say a big thank you to all the voters and the volunteers that have supported my campaign. To get this late in the game and spending less than $500 of my own money versus $100k+ that some groups were spending and still to be able to reach the primary of almost 6% does feel good. I will be releasing a video tomorrow with more details.
08.01.2022 I hope everyone had an excellent Australia day. This is a good time to both celebrate and reflect. This is why it is disappointing to see a number of elected officials and prominent figures choose to use this day to sow and foment discord and division in the community. Particularly after the challenging 12 months that we all had this was a missed opportunity to encourage all Australians and Victorians to come together.
06.01.2022 One of the MPs of our party witnessing first hand the heavy handed ness of police.
06.01.2022 The main cheerleader for globalization (Klaus Schwab) applauds Xi for essentially trying to extort multiple countries that have economic ties to China. Is this something that should be accepted? Your thoughts...
