25.01.2022 Worth looking at.
25.01.2022 It sounds like the Hobart City Council has decided that the Virus is taking Saturday the 14 March off even though the Greek Festival has been postponed on Sunday 15 March. https://www.facebook.com/1046197242067966/posts/3043257315695272/
23.01.2022 What are your thoughts? Has the Hobart City Council got the architect right?
17.01.2022 Builder Paul Burnell reflects on the barriers and issues that builders confront in delivering houses to the market. Issues identified include the amount of time and paperwork involved in lodging plans with Council and different planning requirements across Local Governments. Streaming the approval process is a must for delivering affordable homes.
16.01.2022 I wonder what will happen to the K & D site in Murray Street? It may remain vacant for a very long term and become another Myer fiasco? I suppose there are a few car parks there that provides a revenue opportunity? It sounds like the University has overreached themselves and cocked up about their buy up of the Hobart CBD.... The University should have remained in Sandy Bay.
11.01.2022 Has Hobart changed much over the past 25 years? This #ThrowbackThursday we're taking you all the way back to 1995. Enjoy this special look back and tell us what you think. Footage courtesy of our very own ABC Archives.
09.01.2022 A new public toilet facility in Swan Streer, North Hobart. Just near the Post Office.
09.01.2022 Spotted at Sandy Bay Beach recently. Looks like a feral cat.
07.01.2022 Hi all, some of you know I have started a petition to increase fire safety in Lenah Valley. I’m going to be doorknocking in the area this Saturday and on Monday... next week. If you are interested in coming with me (training provided!) then please let me know you can also sign the petition online here: https://ellahaddad.com/local-issu/lenah-valley-fire-safety/ See more
04.01.2022 North Hobart needs a Multi Story Car Park in Condell Place. The anti car parking brigade have been out recently suggesting that there is no need for extra car parks in North Hobart. The Lord Mayor is on the same page and has suggested there is nothing to see here.... The reality of car uses is different to the anti car park brigade. Not everyone rides a bicycle or can afford a taxi or low wage Uber driver and we all know that the Metro bus system is not frequent or convenient. At 12 noon, Wednesday, 25 February 2020 the Lefroy Street Car Park was full and nothing was free. Lefroy Street itself was packed with no available street parking and there was no car parking free in Pitt Street or Elizabeth Street, North Hobart much. The reality is that people want to spend longer periods of time in North Hobart doing things like patronising restaurants and the popular State Cinema. If they can't find a park drivers and passenger's go elsewhere. Short 30 minute car parking does not deliver what the customer wants in all instances. These photos demonstrate the reality.
