25.01.2022 Rain, hail or shine, residents at Barwarre Gardens need a pedestrian crossing and footpaths to the shops. If re-elected I will fight for it because everyone deserves the right to have access to their community.
22.01.2022 The safety of our community is my number one priority. Meadowvale Drive needs traffic calming now, not in 2022. If re-elected I will fight for these crucial works in this financial year. Thanks to Narelle, Paul and Andy for highlighting this issue.
20.01.2022 As well as distributing my How To Vote card across Kardinia Ward, and having it in the Geelong Indy and Armstrong Creek Times -- here's a copy too if you need to refer to it. Remember, voting closes on Friday 23rd October at 6pm.
18.01.2022 So disappointed candidates think this is appropriate behaviour. I preferenced this candidate highly as he appeared to be an upstanding, community focused young man. I have also offered him advice on how to run an honest and clean campaign. This is how he returns the favour. Victoria Police have advised me to return offending signs that are illegally placed, which I have done. I appreciated his apology on realising his error.... Play nice everyone. One sign per property and get owner’s permission. It’s that simple. #geelongvotes2020 #councilelection2020
18.01.2022 It's been a long day dropping flyers, but so rewarding taking advantage of daylight saving so Bella can see how Council is progressing on the Sparrovale Wetlands project In Armstrong Creek. This will be fantastic for wildlife and for the community to enjoy. #armstrongcreek
18.01.2022 Thanks for the endorsement. I promise to make Kardinia Ward and Geelong a better place to live, work, rest, play and stay.
17.01.2022 Geelong is officially open! Western United vs North Geelong Warriors in pre-season friendly. https://twitter.com/i/status/1334732295400534016 Thanks Clint Stanaway for the plug. #wufc #ninenews #Geelong #TGGB
13.01.2022 Developers want to build 33 high density townhouses here at Morven Court, Highton. They will fill in the last remnants of Kardinia Creek - the namesake of our Ward. As a Highton local I share their concerns that this proposal will be detrimental to the neighbourhood. #shoubraestate #highton #overdevelopment
13.01.2022 Blue Ribbon Day 2020. To our women and men in Blue, I say thank you. #neverforgotten
12.01.2022 So proud that COVID-19 FREE CBD PARKING was given the green light by Council last night. It gives relief to front line workers, small businesses and those who want to support our struggling local economy. This is one of the ways Geelong Council is supporting the community during these COVID times.
12.01.2022 As I said in the meeting on Tuesday night, this needs to include political party donations.
12.01.2022 Come and get your Lions Christmas Cakes and Puddings upstairs at Westfield, just near the Myer exit to the flyover. Proud volunteers are waiting to serve you. #geelonglions #westfield #geelongcares #christmas
10.01.2022 PROPOSED SALE 34-40 ESPERENCE CRESCENT, HIGHTON. The Highton community has spoken and I am listening. Councillors will be voting on Tuesday night whether to keep the land for community purposes at the request of local residents.... Watch democracy in progress on Tuesday evening at 7pm. https://www.geelongaustralia.com.au/meetings/default.aspx See more
10.01.2022 Great news! A new dog park to be built in Belmont early next year, and more to come. My Husky Bella is so excited! https://www.geelongaustralia.com.au///8d85572b223d958.aspx
09.01.2022 Come on people, lets keep Geelong beautiful. Dob in a dumper. Its costing us $800,000 per year when we have two free hard waste collections.
07.01.2022 So great to see the kids back at school and safely using the crossing at St Catherine of Siena in Armstrong Creek. Community members asked me for the crossing and I delivered! #stcatherineprimary #armstrongcreek #delivering
06.01.2022 I just rang the Highton vet clinic and she is home with her owners after her big adventure. Thanks to all who replied.
05.01.2022 Sausages are back at Bunnings! Come and support Geelong Lions Club at the Waurn Ponds store. #Geelonglions #bunnings #sausagesizzle #volunteering
04.01.2022 Fightin' Highton wins again. What a great win for the community last night at Council. We are keeping 34-40 Esperence Crescent Highton for open space. Now is the time to have your say about what you want in this space. Thanks again for all the submissions.
04.01.2022 It's been a long wet day putting up signs to spread the word VOTE 1 RON NELSON! Thanks to those who have offered their front lawns and yards.
04.01.2022 As the Sport and Recreation Chair its always great to see the impact that this funding will have on a community. Congratulations to the Lara Sporting Club. $2 Million from Geelong City Council and $250 K from the State Government.
04.01.2022 It was great to meet with Barwon Valley Golf Club Secretary Helen Mays and Club Captain Simon Babb to discuss their plans for a reno and extension. I'm proud to support this project if re-elected. What a great deck for a post game frothy or a hot chocolate.
03.01.2022 As a first time Councillor for Grovedale and Waurn Ponds I am always keen to see how we can improve this area. Better walking/cycling paths and playground equipment for kids of all ages. Perhaps a Gazebo or two? Thanks Glenda for highlighting these issues for the residents of Waurn Ponds and Grovedale. Bella just wants the rabbits. #grovedale #waurnponds #delivering #mentalhealthawareness #toomanyrabbits
02.01.2022 Only Andy Pobjoy could mash Sweet Caroline with the Geelong Cats theme song! A great afternoon hosted by the Geelong Regional Cancerians, with founder Phillipa Challis, OAM, to raise much needed funds for uterine cancer. Great special guests Dwayne Russel and Tom King. #pianobar #gocats2020 #Krockfooty
02.01.2022 Yet another reason to live in Armstrong Creek.
01.01.2022 It's time we recognise the 2.65 million Australians who provide care and support to a family member or friend with disability, mental health condition, chronic condition, terminal illness, an alcohol or other drug issue or who are frail aged. Thank you, and check out this video by the Veronicas! Special thanks to Mum, my cousin Christine Henkel and my sister in law Catherine Larcey, who selflessly give give everyday! #carersareheroes https://youtu.be/28WzN2Rdp9s
