25.01.2022 OFFICIAL RELEASE AVALON RACEWAY MARCH 20, 2020 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE... CORONA CANCELS THE SEASON AT AVALON It is with great reluctance that the team at Avalon Raceway have been left no choice to cancel the remainder of the season until further notice. The team behind the scenes have been working closely with Jeff and Rod Drew who could only reach one feasible decision. That being to cancel all events at Avalon Raceway until further notice. With the current Coronavirus Covid-19 pandemic plauging the country and the world, the decision was made with safety and wellbeing as number one priority. With no one really knowing the full extent of how devastating this virus may become, it was for the best that this tough decision was made. Avalon Raceway and its team remind you all to please keep supporting these race teams, race shops and sponsors who have all tipped in so much to make this 2019/20 season possible. It is no doubt going to be rough couple of months in business and we pray for everyone to stick together and stay safe through this troubling time. More information will be released as it comes to hand regarding the huge 2020/21 season that will follow. For now, that is all from the Place for Pace. Ends Release...

22.01.2022 The 2019/2020 Season is done and dusted. Our first year in the midget and loved every bit of it! We managed a few good results, especially the Australian Title... where we finished up 14th out of 46 cars. There are a lot of people to thank for their help throughout the year. Firstly, to Dad who spent most days and nights at the shed tinkering on the car and making sure that when it was rolled in to the trailer it was always 100%. A big thanks to Daryl and Dylan Grange for their work at the track to prep, clean, fuel and change tyres before the next heat! Thanks to Domain Ramsay, Tim Fisher, Nick Parker and Mitch Whiting for their help on and off the track. Whether we asked for help or were offered friendly advice, they were always straight with us and pointed us in the right direction. A HUGE thank you to our sponsors! So great to have you all on board for our first season! 19.01.2022 We've had a couple of questions come in on the registration fee structure for the coming season, and whether any allowances will be made for the shortened 19/20... season which impacted some states. Registration (Speedcars Australia Membership) fees will remain as per usual as we head toward season 20/21. This $320 fee allows for the funding allocation to all affiliated clubs for their blue ribbon events, tow money pools, and promotions; including supporting the clubs who lost their blue ribbon funded events with the COVID-19 impacts last season and are planning double-run events this upcoming season. With the uncertainty of the upcoming season plans and restrictions differing state-by-state, it is recommended all teams stay in close contact with your local affiliated club. Clubs, Speedcars Australia and the various tracks are monitoring the continuously changing environment across the country.

14.01.2022 SPEEDCARS AUSTRALIA REGISTRATIONS & COMPETITOR DECLARATIONS NOW ONLINE! Speedcars Australia - Wednesday 5th August 2020. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In a huge... leap forward in self-service capabilities for Speedcars Australia car owners, competitors and affiliated clubs; today the annual Speedcar registration (membership) and competitor declaration process has gone fully online! This functionality allows all car owners and competitors to initiate the annual process via PC, tablet and even on a smart phone, moving away from the paper-based process of decades past. Registrations/Memberships and declarations for season 20-21 are now open. Car owners and competitors can now complete the two required forms electronically by visiting the Speedcars Australia website (www.SpeedcarsAustralia.com) and clicking on the Owner/Driver Admin page on the top right menu. In delivering this online capability, the following minimum requirements remain firmly in place, and are to be completed a minimum seven days prior to your first event (including practice): 1) 20-21 Speedcars Australia Membership / Registration form (online). 2) 20-21 Membership / Registration fee paid directly to Speedcars Australia (online direct deposit). 3) 20-21 Competitor Declaration form (online). 4) Current local Speedcars Australia affiliated club membership (refer your local club). 5) Annual Visual Inspection completed by an authorised scrutineer with no outstanding issues (contact your club scrutineers to arrange). IMPORTANT: Please ensure you complete all of the above requirements a minimum of seven days prior to your event (including practice) as failure to do so will see you unable to compete/practice. These requirements will be validated by your local affiliated club and Speedcars Australia before allowing you to enter any events (including practice). This task can now also be completed via a shared online area, which is automatically updated within a minute of either form being submitted. The admin function is accessible to club admins and scrutineers via PC, tablet and smart phone, anywhere with internet access; and is secured in a password-protected admin page. Have questions or need assistance? Please discuss with your club administration, scrutineers and/or SAC representatives, or email [email protected]. Queensland Speedcar Racing Assos.
