25.01.2022 PORT PHILLIP BAY FROM VOI Today we demonstrated our Vulcanair V1.0. VH-VOI to a visiting Air New Zealand Dash 8 pilot / flight instructor, and a local first time in the air passenger friend new to flying. Both VOI and Melbournes Port Phillip Bay impressed on a perfectly clear, but cold, summer day. We flew out of our base at Essendon. ... Our route was YMEN-WES-ALOA-TON-WBER-YMAV-PIPS-CERB-APL-BLT-MVC-YMEN. We took off and landed on Runway 17 (with a 20-knot headwind for landing). Here are some images of our flight. 25.01.2022 PORT PHILLIP BAY AT ITS BEST Cruising Melbourne's Bay in our V1.0 demonstrator with commercial pilot Shaun and his son Ryan on a perfect day today. Shaun was impressed with the V1.0's stability, visibility and speed.... A great training or private aircraft.

23.01.2022 Heres a short clip of our hand flown IFR flight at 6,000 feet heading back to YMEN today from maintenance at YWGT. The clouds only lasted a few nms and then we were back in a sunny day as we approached Melbourne. Glorious autumn weather for flying.... Experimenting with a GoPro Hero 5. Hope to add ATC and proper sound soon as well as get rid of that flicker.

Tomorrow we will do some flight in a new P68 Observer (watch this space for images of our flight) Most impressive of all has been the improvements to the new V1.0s on the production line - improvements our Australian customers will see - things liek new adjustable seats, a larger back left passenger window, new large TXi avionics, new front doors and windows, repositioned warning panel....and the list goes on! 21.01.2022 VH-VOI FLIES NON STOP YMEN TO YPKS: IMAGES Today we flew our V1.0 demonstrator from Essendon (YMEN) in Melbourne, Victoria, to Parkes in NSW (YPKS) for the Airventure air show this weekend. It was a perfect cloudless day and VOI knocked it out in less than 3 hours. We cruised at 7,500 feet at about 126 TAS on 23 and 2450 RPM.... Here are some images from our flight. 16.01.2022 SPICK AND SPAN FOR AIRVENTURE Yesterday our V1.0 VH-VOI was given a professional wash and clean by Stephen Allen from Allen Aviation Detailing. It was a cold day so we started inside at our Essendon (YMEN) hangar. On Wednesday we head north for AirVenture at Parkes, NSW (YPKS).... Come and see us at Site 14 from Thursday through to Sunday. We demonstrated the aircraft to the flight school at Merimbula and then flew north to Cessnock (YCNK) for another flight school demonstration via Bankstown Airport (YSBK). ... 12.01.2022 BALLARAT RETURN TRIP IN THE V1.0 A hazy day, kind of halfway between VFR and IFR. We choose IFR, for which the Oscar (V1.0), with its all-glass cockpit, is perfect. Not so busy at YBLT with all those international flight school students missing. Made the RNAV 36 much easier than before COVID. A great day flying out of YMEN with lots of ATC traffic.... 10.01.2022 VULCANAIR FACTORY TOUR - NAPLES, ITALY The Aussie Vulcanair team is in Naples this week. Here are some photos including the new TXI avionics for the V1.0; the new adjustable seats for the V1.0; the fixed pitch V1.0; and some images of a (yet to be painted) new P68 Observer with the new TXI avionics. ... There are also some images of the factor with many aircraft under construction including V1.0s, P68s and an A-Viator. 10.01.2022 LIGHTNING SPEED IN THE V1.0 Michael and Paul did an IFR return trip to Ballarat in the V1.0 last Friday night. It was slow going there (1.1 hours) but on the way back, at night, we were blessed with strong tailwinds and it took just 0.7 hours. We saw a ground speed of 146 knots! We both commented what a wonderful IFR platform, trainer, and personal aircraft the V1.0 is.

09.01.2022 TEST FLYING THE VULCANAIR P68 OBSERVER WITH GARMIN TXI AVIONICS Today the Aussie team was in Naples, Italy, test flying a brand new (it does not even have its final coat of paint yet) P68 Observer, with its new Garmin TXI avionics and auto pilot. Our guide for the day was an ex Italian Air Force fighter pilot and US Naval Test Pilot School graduate who is rated on almost every major fighter aircraft (and civilian aircraft too) in the western world.... The new TXi avionics and auto pilot completely transform the aircraft. Here are some image of our flight and the beautiful coastline of the Naples area. Our flights were in (Runway 24) and out (Runway 06) of Naples International Airport, where Vulcanair is based. The stability and visibility of the P68, together with its speed range (from slow to fast) and endurance are legendary. Due to bush fire haze, flying around Melbourne today was just like flying in the LA basin, Here are some images from our return to YMEN from YMMB after some instrument training down YMAV way. It was hot and sunny with clear blue sky, but IFR conditions, due haze, especially over Port Phillip Bay. Also here are some shots of our newly installed and oh so useful Jeppesen charts....
