25.01.2022 A South Africa VW production success story was the Citi Golf, based on the MK1 platform. It was produced right up until 2009, along with the MK1 Caddy Ute (2007). This little video was produced as a farewell tribute, and this last CitiGolf with all its signatures is now on display in the AutoPavilion Museum. In the May issue of VWMA we feature a story on one of the last MK1 Caddy Utes to be produced in South Africa and now residing in Perth... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YUm5NbAnP2Y
24.01.2022 VWMA gives Sonya Redding's Beetle feature the tick of approval in the latest issue. Not only did Sonya build this Beetle largely on her own, but she also completed the car during a period of personal and emotional hardship. Available in newsagents now.
22.01.2022 If you could have your post delivered by one of these, then you would write more Christmas cards. This 1972 VW Fridolin originally served time with the Swiss Postal Service and has now been custom restored. It features in the next issue of VWMA due out November 7th. 19.01.2022 Due to recent border closures, the decision has been made to cancel VW Warwick for this year. These closures would result in a depleted field and a modified programme which would not be indicative of the excitement and entertainment that this weekend is eagerly anticipated for each year. I would ask VWMA readers and those who attend VW Warwick to please take note of the sponsors for this weekend, especially Mick Motors. These sponsors are instrumental in creating and supporting Australia's only all VW motorsport event which will be back in 2021. See you on the track.
19.01.2022 In the current Issue#69 on page 77 there is an ad for the VW Nationals in Sydney in May. At the time of print, the motorsport activity for the Saturday had not been finalised, but the good news is that Club VeeDub have secured the Luddenham track for a full day of sprints. Yeeha! Time for VWMA to finish off another fun track car for the Nationals. This video is a Golf tackling the track - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ucgSoJtr6hI

11.01.2022 VWMA wishes all in the VW scene a Merry Xmas and a Happy New Year. Issue#69 will be due for release in February 2021. Warning in advance - if your magazine arrives with the faint aroma of brandy custard, it's because this issue will be completed while I am having my Xmas pudding. What can I say - I like my pudding!!

07.01.2022 A stunning feature in the next issue of VW Magazine Australia (Issue#68 Nov'20-Jan'21) is this Karmann Ghia T34, or Razor in the vernacular slang. Photos Bernie Hart. VWMA available in newsagents November 7th or by subscription.
06.01.2022 For some inexplicable reason, there seems to be a lot of VW projects happening around the country. It's as if everyone has been confined to their sheds and car building is a welcome distraction? My inbox has been flooded with project updates, but none more fascinating than Louis and Lisa's truncated VWs. More in the coming Issue#66 of VWMA....
