25.01.2022 Now that the Winter Nationals are done and dusted, it's time to start planning for the main prize. The 2022 National Titles will be held in Brisbane, from the 20th to the 24th of January. Brisbane has one of the biggest and most competive VX One fleets in the World, so it's going to be one amazing event.... 24.01.2022 It's looking like a busy few months ahead of us for VX One racing here in Australia. The first major event is the ACT VX One titles being held at Canberra Yacht Club on the 21st and 22nd of November. 2nd event is the VX One demo day at Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club - RPAYC being held on the 5th and 6th of December.... 3rd one is the NSW VX One titles being held at Royal Prince Alfred Yacht Club - RPAYC on the 12th and 13th of December On the same weekend will be the QLD VX One titles being held at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron 12th and 13th of December We then roll into 2021 with the VX One National titles in January being held at Royal Queensland Yacht Squadron . This date may get pushed to Easter if Borders don't open in time. March is the next date for some VX One racing, with Victoria scheduling their states for that Month. South Australia is also getting in on the action with their first State titles being held in March by Christies Sailing Club. We have seen some rapid growth in SA this year and we look forward to the numbers growing. With brand new VX One's arriving this month and another 5 scheduled to arrive in March. there has never been a better time to get into one of the leading One design fleets here in Australia.boats

11.01.2022 It has been a good weekend for the VX One fleet here in Australia. Two of the soon to arrive three boats have been purchased and should be joining into fleets by the end of November. One new owner and one serial upgrader. There is still one boat unspoken for, better get off the fence quick if you'd like to get involved in the fleet.

04.01.2022 *** Round 1 of the QLD titles*** After a very gloomy morning and solid rain, everyone in the boat park was wondering when the rain was going to stop, and where is the 20kts of wind that was forecasted as it was under 10 kts while everyone was rigging up. Right on cue as the boats were leaving the beach the wind came in from the South with 17 to 22kts of wind. With the racecourse set very close to Green Island, there was no clear way to go on the track. The wind against tide d...idn't help either with some nasty chop which also made the downwind's hard for the boats to fully send it. Race 1 got underway and Mack One dominated from start to finish, but for the rest of the fleet there were plenty of position changes, in the end, McGees Property got the 2nd closely followed by Ovi One Kenobi. The 2nd downwind of this race was the best for the fleet with everyone cracking 20kts of boat speed as a solid pressure line filled the racecourse. Race 2 Everyone tacked onto port at their first opportunity to get to the right side of the course, but with plenty of big short-lived shifts everyone was bouncing their way up the course. towards the top of the racecourse, there was a big lefthander, which left race 1 winners Mack One on the wrong side and well back. The top mark was another close one with 7 boats all rounding bow to stern for the first time. In the end, McGees Property was too strong and came away with the win giving them the series lead. 2nd was KERB Australia closely followed by top mark leaders Double Black. Round 2 of the QLD titles will be held late February.
