A pro triathlete and off-road XTERRA champ by day, Ben managed to claim his first and last win at the worlds biggest adventure race.... 20.01.2022 Eagle Bay and Meelup Regional Park certainly know how to serve up an adventure with more breathtaking racing in beautiful conditions again for today’s Leeuwin Long Course race. The long course race is the premier event of the weekend with a formidable course to tackle as solo or a relay team, including: 23km Mountain Bike, 2km Ocean Swim, 13.5km Paddle, 12.5km Brooks Trail Run and 300m Finish Sprint back to the line. The ocean was still and conditions ideal which made for s...ome great racing with Byron Hudson winning the solo males by just 20 sec over Brendan Dimmer. Phip Hughes was a very deserving winner of the female solos with ‘Team Epic’ consisting of William Lee, Kristopher Taylor, Brendan Rice and Andrew Mowlem being fastest team in a time of 3hr56.47. But every participant, spectator and volunteer are champions in our eyes so we thank and congratulate you all on your part in what was truly an Epic weekend.
