20.01.2022 A reminder to students joining us for Year 7 in 2021 and those continuing into Year 8 2021. Year 7 Camp will be held in Term 1, Week 4 (17-19 Feb) at the Great Aussie Bush Camp in Tea Gardens. Please return the permission note and pay the deposit online. Year 8 Camp will be held in Term 2, Week 4 (12-14 May). Please see Mr Williams in Staffroom 1 for a permission note if you would like to attend.

17.01.2022 Today we welcomed our incoming Year 7 cohort to our school for Orientation Day. Students were able to experience some taster lessons, compete in team building activities and get to know what our school looks like. We will post a welcome video tomorrow for parents to see a snapshot of the students day today. Parents are able to make camp deposits through the front office. ... It was a great day, and we are very excited to welcome our new students and unlocking the brilliance in each individual in 2021. Mr George is excited to be the Year Advisor for such a wonderful group of students.

14.01.2022 On Friday 18 December (ATAR release day) we will be holding a virtual Info Session between 10:00am-2:00pm for prospective undergraduate students who would like to speak with our teams about degrees, changing preferences, alternative entry options, accommodation and more. The Info Session will be held after ATARs are released and prior to the close of change of preferences for consideration in December Round 2 so it's perfect timing for students to get the advice they need ...to finalise their UAC application. Students will have the opportunity to make a virtual appointment with staff from our Admissions, Program Advice, Pathways, Student Living and Fees teams. Appointments will be facilitated via zoom meeting. Please note if students need to speak with multiple teams, they will need to make multiple appointments. Students can register now for this virtual event.

12.01.2022 Parent Online Payments will close Monday 14th December 2020 at 3.30pm. Any payments received after this date will not be processed until school resumes for staff development day on Wednesday 27th January 2021. The school cash desk will close Tuesday 15th December 2020 at 2.00pm. No payments will be received after this date until school resumes in 2021. The WCS Office Staff wish you a safe and happy holidays.

11.01.2022 The Year 9 Marine Studies class are currently studying Seafood, it’s nutritional value and how it is produced. Today we looked at sushi and sashimi. Most students had never tried sashimi or made sushi from scratch. Lots of engaged and enthusiastic students.

10.01.2022 Our Leadership Team have worked on setting up an initiative to support the less fortunate in our community. We are collecting non- perishable food items and new childrens gifts. Collection baskets are located in the library. Let’s work together to make a difference

05.01.2022 TSP uniform orders have been extended until THIS Friday 27th Nov. Students in the current Year 10 TSP cohort or who are not continuing in the program (OR NOT IN THE PROGRAM AT ALL) will not be able to purchase any uniforms. All orders will be checked by Mrs Atmore, the TSP Coordinator, before the company processes them, to ensure the uniforms are for the students in the 2021 program.... Any issues please contact the school.

05.01.2022 On the 26th of November, a group of talented musicians from years 8 to 11 went to the Grove Recording Studio. It was an enjoyable experience to see students recording music in a professional studio. Wadalba Community School and the CAPA Faculty would like to thank the Grove Studio management for offering recording sessions to our students.
