25.01.2022 Have you heard about the BDCU Alliance Bank My Community Savings Account and My Community Partner program? As a My Community Partner, Wingecarribee Adult Day Care Centres - WADCC benefits from this amazing community initiative. Many thanks to the BDCU clients who currently support us - every cent received goes towards The Carribee Centre Extension Appeal! Some Q&As below from the team at BDCU. Head onto the BDCU website or into a BDCU Branch for more information and consid...er helping WADCC, whilst you earn interest! #dogoodbanking #communityspirit "What is a My Community Savings Account? Its an online savings account that gets to the very heart of Do Good Banking. A My Community Savings Account allows you to nominate and support a My Community Partner from a list of registered local charities, community groups, schools and other local organisations. How does it work? Its simple. Save, earn interest, and watch your My Community Partner grow. For every $1 of interest you earn, BDCU Alliance Bank will pay 15c to your nominated My Community Partner. You dont have to pay a cent, but you are instrumental in how much is contributed to the growth of your community - simply by saving. How do I open an account? Give us a call on 02 4860 4000 or drop in to one of our Advice Centres to have a conversation about how opening a My Community Savings Account can help your local community."

04.01.2022 Social isolation can have a devastating impact on the lives of people with #dementia. It can lead to lowered self-esteem, depression, and can even affect a pers...ons tendency to seek help. The way some family members and friends respond to a diagnosis of dementia can sometimes leave loved ones feeling isolated and alone. Rajiv Chand, Manager Client Services at Dementia Australia, reminds us not to be afraid of dementia. Instead, we should be interacting with people living with dementia socially and providing opportunities for them to contribute as valued members of society.
