11.01.2022 Sunday June 4, 2017 the first annual DIRTFEST was held at The Rise in Maylands. Skaters from regional and remote Western Australia converged on Perth to put their hard work to the test in this round robin event, showcasing the incredible talent, hard work and tenacity of our regional leagues in our sport. This event was the brainchild of members of Albany Roller Derby and Derby West were proud to support and facilitate this first ever truly regional tournamemt in WA. ... The passion and dedication of skaters and officials from regional teams is inspiring and their drive and commitment to learn and grow from events such as should be applauded. Thank you to the metropolitan skaters and officials who topped up teams and provided encouragement, knowledge and feedback to the regional teams to assist them to only grow from strength to strength.
