23.01.2022 WORK EXPERIENCE AT WSP Here at Wade Smith Plumbing we have been really lucky to have some superstar students join us for their work experience journey. Today we had the chance to chat with two of our students and asked them what they thought!... ‘My favourite part is the places I’ve seen as I didn’t realise the guys went to so many different towns with their jobs. I have enjoyed maintenance a lot more than I thought I would and am glad I gave it a try! I’ve learnt that Plumbing is much more involved than what I expected and that every day is so different’ - Jake P ‘I’ve quickly learnt that Plumbing is not just toilets! I’ve learnt so much in such a short space of time. The guys really put the time in to show me the trade and aren’t afraid to let me have a go. 19.01.2022 Meet our newest Apprentice - Tom! Tom commenced his apprenticeship @ WSP in June, landing a gig with us after completing a stint of work experience. Within this time Tom’s developed a real passion for Plumbing. Tom has spent his first three months on various jobs from maintenance repairs right through to industrial plumbing and heaps of roof repairs and new installs. Tom has particularly enjoyed completing full house water renewals and also loves the challenge of having ...to problem solve and find solutions with more complex jobs. Long hours and jam packed days have made it a little tricky to catch Tom for a photo, we quickly snapped this one between jobs late this afternoon. This year has been a busy one for our construction crew with multiple projects on the go. The boys are currently upgrading exisiting facilities at Discovery Parks Boathaven with the construction of a 2km water main. Wade most commonly provides support to our management team and works enormous hours behind the scenes constantly developing and guiding our team instilling excellence in all things plumbing. Ensuring our team are well educated, fully e...quipped and supported, Wade is always up for a chat (sometimes a little too much) and is genuinely interested in each persons story whether they are part of our team or a valued customer. Wade will always take the time to get to know you - this may be why his phone is permanently glued to his ear. All jokes aside this guy runs a tight ship, has immense passion for his trade and a love for people.
