17.01.2022 Gwynne Park ESC had the privilege of trialing the proposed Public School Review process announced by the Minister for Education and Training Sue Ellery MLC. Th...e review team came this week to consider our whole school progress and self-assessment practices towards continued school improvement. Although our validation will be returned next week we were very keen to see how this new process would work in a school where every child is on their own individualised learning journey. Were pleased to feedback we felt the process was inclusive, allowed us to reflect on our practices, showcase our evidences of student achievement and left us all feeling very proud of what we do. Congrats to our staff, families and children for their valued roles in our shared journey! We give the proposed Public education in Western Australia Public School Review process the thumbs up! 01.01.2022 Supported school transport is provided to some children and young people with disability so they can travel to and from school. Currently, supported school transport is delivered by state and territory governments with arrangements differing in each jurisdiction. As the NDIS is rolled out across Australia, stakeholders are asked for feedback on whether current arrangements for supported school transport should continue or whether a new model could work under the NDIS. To complement this discussion paper, some face-to-face consultations will be held in each state and territory. Consultation ends 20 July and workshops are available this week. For more details or to register for a workshop - https://bit.ly/2KqBebs

01.01.2022 Inaugural Australian Education Awards. Congratulations to the WA finalists and those in the Special Education categories.
