24.01.2022 Its going to be another beautiful day at the Perth 4WD Show. Come and have a look at our Troopy with the enormous 2.95 metre L shaped BunduAwn and Bundutop tent! We are at site 38 the whole day today and tomorrow.

Not only does it boast wide opens plains as far as the eye can see, bu...t it is also home to Australias largest outdoor art installation. There are 51 steel statues scattered across Lake Ballard, each one modelled on the former residents of the town of Menzies. British artist Anthony Gormley created the "Inside Australia" exhibition in 2003 and people have been enjoying its otherworldly presence ever since. The colour and texture of the lake can vary hugely depending on the time of year you visit. From dark-red, squelchy mud, to crispy, blindingly white salt crusts. This is a breathtaking place to visit and Gormelys statues were made to be seen and felt in person. So come and experience this amazing place for yourself as part of the Golden Quest Discovery Trail. Lake Ballard is also a great place to camp. Seeing the statues at sunset is spectacular, and once the sun goes down, youre treated to an epic sky show. 04.01.2022 The Bungle Bungles, or Purnululu National Park, World Heritage Area is an amazing experience. Off the Great Northern Highway between Kununurra and Halls Creek you take a 53 KM track into the National Park. This is a strictly 4WD only track with a couple of water crossings and some very bad corrugated sections. Drive slowly! There are a couple of campsites with no facilities other than toilets so bring all you need and take all your rubbish out!... We recommend a few days at least to explore the park and take some of the walks. Explore at least Echidna Chasm. The Chasm is most spectacular during midday when the light reaches all the way to the floor. However, daytime temperatures can reach into the 40s so please be well prepared. Second not to miss area is Piccaninny. Walk around the domes and visit the Cathedral Gorge. Here it is also possible to start a two-day trek with an overnight stay in the park. Enquire and register at the Visitor Centre before heading off! Oh, and please, do not wave at helicopters unless you are in need of emergency assistance! Well done Adriana for guessing right!
