25.01.2022 Fire extinguishers are from the active group of fire protection systems which is used to help control small fires. Fortunately, they typically do not expire; however, many people do not know that they are required to be recharged after every use and checked even if they have not been used. Over 90% of all fires are extinguished using a portable fire extinguisher so having them correctly tested and maintained is extremely important. ... According to the AS1851 standard, fire extinguisher test and recharge services should occur at the following intervals: All portable and wheeled fire extinguishers need to be tested every 6 months. Pressure testing and recharge should be carried out at least once every 5 years. Our core business is the servicing of portable fire equipment, and we can even loan you an extinguisher while your equipment is away for recharging or testing. 19.01.2022 A report by Choice has said that insurers are failing Australian's with their confusing ‘fire’ cover. If your home is lost or damaged by fire, you should be able to rely on your insurance to cover you. It’s what you’ve paid for. But right now, there is no standard definition of ‘fire’ across insurance policies. This means individual insurance companies are free to define ‘fire’ however they like and these definitions can give them leverage to deny your claim.... So when is a "fire" not a "fire"? 17.01.2022 New thermal imaging cameras were used in the large structure fire at the Booragoon Spotlight store last weekend to find hot spots within the debris. They are also being used on drones to ...be able to monitor situations from a remote distance!. While all of these are fantastic technologies to use during or after a fire.
