06.01.2022 This classic Wagga photo was taken where the Sturt Public School now stands. In the background are houses on Lake Albert Rd and the top of Lord Baden Powell Dri...ve can be seen above the white house. This is one of Fred Burke's Agricultural Aviation planes having its spray tanks refilled by pilot Geoff Jones,1959. The paddock was owned by Bruce Brown. Pilots would start their takeoff near the Top Shop travelling in the direction of, what is now, White Ave. Fred was, and still is, one of Wagga's well known characters from those days, his house is just across the road. 02.01.2022 Today’s Flyaway to Shear Outback at Hay. What a great day to support drought affected areas. 16 Aircraft, 35 people. Well done to all attendees

01.01.2022 64 days, 22 hours, 19 minutes, and 5 seconds. That is how long the Cessna 172 flew without landing from December 1958 to February 1959. The two pilots refueled from a truck and slept in shifts on a single mattress. #atg #Hacienda
