25.01.2022 It's that time of year again where the school holidays are fast approaching. I have some school holiday spots available for the December/January School holidays for both school aged and non school aged children. Red means the spots are already booked, Green means the spot is available for a permanent booking and yellow means there is a spot for school holidays only. ... The week before Christmas, we will be doing lots of fun Christmas activities including making a ginger bread house and ginger bread men, as well as having a bit of a water park set up in the back yard. For the week between Christmas and New Years, we will be having lots of fun outside, with movie afternoons in the air-conditioned lounge room to keep the heat at bay. We also be cooking yummy ice cold treats including ice cream and ice blocks. Once the new year starts, we will be getting out amongst the community at least twice a week to movies, bowling, the chocolate factory and other very fun activities. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

25.01.2022 BALLOON TENNIS You guys, this is so FUN! For kids (including my 2 year old ) and adults too . I had never heard of it before Agnes @hellowonderful_co shared... it on her page. She made hers a bit different to suite her toddler so make sure to check it out . I owe her big time! HUGE hit with all of us. It’s such an awesome way to keep busy and active indoors with mostly household items. All you need is some masking tape, paper plate, spatula or cooking spoons, strong tape and a balloon. 24.01.2022 Cooking and science are a staple of our program at Wagga Helping Hands FDC. We love watching how mixing wet and dry ingredients together and cooking them creates magic and then we get to eat the yummy magical creations! Honey comb since getting my TM6 has been a regular creation so today we explored a little bit more and extended our learning from just something we make to eat to why does it happen! We then extended further and melted chocolate to coat our yummy honeycomb... in! The science of honeycomb: The sodium bicarbonate (bicarb Soda) reaches when you add it to the hot sugar syrup! The reaction occurs because of the the heat of the sugar syrup breaking down the bicarb into carbon dioxide, water and sodium carbonate. This type of reaction is called thermal decomposition which means that the heat breaks the chemical bonds within the chemical compound. The bubbles from the carbon dioxide in the reaction, is what causes the honeycomb mixture to rise! Family Day Care Australia
