20.01.2022 Hockey NSW are calling for all officials to register their availability for our 2021 Field State Championships. Please indicate any roles you are interested in... at the link below. You can select more than one. If you are not available for a specific event, please select the Not Available option. Appointment of Tournament Directors, Deputy Tournament Directors, Umpire Managers and Deputy Umpire Managers are being made via invitation and will be sent out separately to those officials shortly. 19.01.2022 Last night the AGM for WWCHA was held at the Jubilee Park Clubrooms. Folllwing delivering of the reports from all current Board members for the 2020 season, election of Board Members was held. Congratulations and thank you to the following members who have been elected to the Board for 2021:... President: Ken Larkin Secretary: Amy Smart Treasurer: Vacant Competitions Manager: John Marshall Officiating Manager: Marcus Manning Representative Manager: Craig Knowles Facilities Manager: Phil Stone Development Manager (Juniors): Pat O’Donnell Events Manager: Vacant As you see we have vacancies with 2 positions, Treasurer and Events Manager. These are very important positions on the Board, and it is essential that they are filled. We would ask all members to consider nominating for these positions. If you are interested please contact Wagga Hockey at [email protected] to express your interest. We also would like to thank our previous Treasurer Karen Boyd for over 12 years of loyal and dedicated Board service to Wagga Hockey. Karen has been an outstanding advocate for Wagga Hockey and has decided that she would like to take a break and just be a player. Well done Karen, and again thanks for everything. Finally we would also like to thank Mel Chyb for her contribution to the role of Completitions Manager over the past 2 seasons. Competitions Manager is not an easy role but Mel did a terrific job, so Mel thanks heaps for your contribution.

Hi All, After a great response from the survey sent out last month, we have decided to run a 2021 Twilight Summer competition. Please find attached details, could you please circulate this within your clubs.... We have taken on survey feedback and have minimised costs and created a competition structure which hopefully sees a good number of teams register. Please note team registrations are open now until the 4th of January. Player registration and fees will then open on the 5th of January and all player must pay fees before the first game on the 14th of January. If you have any questions, feel free to touch base. 15.01.2022 Some of NSW's best hockey talent will converge on Sydney Olympic Park next week for a six day high-performance camp with eight fully competitive intra-squad mat...ches. The camp will also be used as development opportunity for some of our best up and coming officials and coaches. Congratulations to the 80 athletes that were invited to attend the camp along with the dozens of coaches and officials also assisting. All clubs should have a representative at the meeting, and the meeting is also open to all members. Social distancing will apply. 12.01.2022 PAID CASUAL COACHING ROLES AVAILABLE We're looking for coaches to help us deliver Sporting Schools hockey programs on a term-by-term basis in 2021. Coaches w...ill be employed on a casual basis and will be provided with all programs and equipment. This opportunity would be perfect for university students or parents of school-aged kids. In particular, we are after people in the following areas: Sydney South, Grafton, Far North Coast, Goulburn, Crookwell, Southern Highlands, Far South Coast, North Sydney Beaches, Sydney East, Mid North Coast and Far West NSW. However, please feel free to still apply if you live outside these areas or are willing to travel. You will need a valid WWC number and hockey coaching experience to be considered.
