20.01.2022 Prayers for seminarians this week. Thank you Lord, for the time shared at the end of academic year celebrations and during their visit to a local school raising awareness of vocations. Also, we pray they do well in their upcoming exams and that they enjoy a well earned summer break. A reminder also that next Tuesday's meeting of the Wagga Serra Club (6.15pm 12/11/2019) at Vianney College will be the last for this year. Agenda: a brief meeting, followed by Mass for vocations and past Serrans. Then a light supper . All welcome. Please bring a plate to share.

16.01.2022 Easter Message from Serra International President Ruben Gallegos, Ph.D. SALUDOS PARA TODOS!... This is the best Easter Sunday ever, but in a very different environment. We celebrate Easter Sunday with Mass, but this year it will be via television.* Serra International's mission is to pray for vocations, but we also have to financially support the Catholic Church even if we are not in the pews. Let us pray for our priests but also provide financial support during these trying times. This is the time to pray more and more often. This is the time to pray the rosary more times than usual. This is the time to pray more often the Serra Prayers for Vocations. This is the time to add the Vocations Apostolate Daily Prayers. This is the time that we cannot tire of praying. There is no better medicine for this world than praying and praising Our Lord. Serra International is a worldwide organization. Therefore, our prayers should be global in nature. I recommend we pray together "The Prayer for Our World Family" as promoted by the Oblate Missionaries: Lord, we ask for Your help, that we may love and understand each person in our world family as a human being, worthy of dignity and respect. Sometimes this is very difficult, for our cultures, religions and histories are different, and our ways and languages are unfamiliar to one another. May we rise above the prejudice which has often influenced our relationship in the past so that, as members of one world family, we might work together for the good of the world and all who inhabit it. 09.01.2022 Please pray for our priests with your prayers for those impacted by violence against Christians. "Fulani gunmen in Benue State shot up a Catholic church during an early morning Mass in April 2018, killing two priests and about 15 laity. The priests' deaths sparked protests in the weeks that followed, with Catholic clergy calling on the Nigerian government to better protect its citizens. In May 2018, suspected Fulani militants attacked a Catholic seminary. Gunmen assailed two priests and a handful of seminarians at Sacred Heart Minor Seminary in Jalingo, the capital city of Taraba State in Nigeria. The attackers beat the priests with rods, shooting one of them in the leg, and did damage to an automobile and other property"

03.01.2022 Prayers for the Priests in Nigeria. This is the late Fr Clement Ugwu from Catholic Diocese of Enugu who was ordained a priest in 2010. He was shot on his leg ...in his parish last week Wednesday and whisked away by unknown gun men. His decomposed body was found in a bush today. He has been buried. Please pray for the repose of his soul. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let your pepertual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Amen. See more
