25.01.2022 HBF LETTER CAUSES CONFUSION A letter sent to our patients by HBF notifying of a change in our arrangements with them (Dental Provider Scheme) has caused a great deal of confusion. HBF treatment rebates ARE available at Wagin Dental Centre.... Rebates on most treatments are unchanged. The level of rebate for annual exam, scale and clean, and some x-rays only, may change depending on the level of your personal cover. This has brought our arrangement with HBF in to line with all of the other Health insurance Providers. Please call us at the Surgery on 98611400 if you have any questions regarding this minor change.

24.01.2022 GOOD NEWS! There is to be easing of the restrictions on dental treatment back to Level 2 alert. As of Tuesday 28th April, we will be able to carry out a greater range of dental treatments. We will begin prioritising and contacting, on Friday, patients who have had treatment postponed due to the Level 3 restrictions.... We appreciate the understanding, support and patience we've been afforded by the community during these restrictions. We know it has been disappointing for those who have had dental issues that have not fallen within the allowed treatment criteria, but most have accepted this with exceptional grace. We are being updated by the Australian Dental Assoc tomorrow evening to clarify what Level 2 means for us and for you. Please call 98611400 if you require an appointment and we will assess whether your need falls into the Level 2 criteria for treatment.

23.01.2022 We just want to say "THANK YOU WHEAT BELT AND GREAT SOUTHERN" Thankyou for your support and understanding during the Level 3 restrictions we have been working under. It is because of the wonderful support that we have had, over the 15 years we have been in Wagin, that we elected to remain open for dental emergencies when many surgeries have closed their doors.

20.01.2022 Our 15th Anniversary month is nearly over and it has been an exciting one. Thank you for all of the good wishes and congratulations we've had from so many of our lovely patients. A big big thank you for the understanding so many of you have shown while we have been dealing with less than lovely surprise - Our almost new computer suffered and unexplained and fatal crash which left us without an appointment book among other necessities. Thankfully we have consistently resisted... the calls from various "tech" boffins to have our patient records kept on computer, which enabled us to continue to help our patients throughout the disruption. We could not have managed without the mammoth effort of our brilliant receptionist, Tuija, who did an amazing job of keeping "the train on the track" for us. Thank you, thank you, thank you. W

18.01.2022 Dental issues, problems and emergencies don't stop happening because there is a health crisis elsewhere. WE ARE COMMITTED TO STAYING OPEN AND PROVIDING DENTAL CARE FOR OUR COMMUNITY We have now been informed that dental services must be moved to Level 3. This means we can still provide treatment, but must restrict this to urgent and emergency care. ... Please call the surgery 98611400 (answer phone) of you need an appointment and we will get back to you when the office is open. If you already have an appointment with us, we WILL be calling you personally to inform you how this will apply to your treatment. We will begin to do this on Wednesday so that we can advise you within the most current guidelines of that date (to be ready for our return to work on Thursday) so please wait for our call. 17.01.2022 We are still open for our usual hours during this difficult time. We are restricted to providing only urgent and emergency treatment as level 3 restrictions still apply. These restrictions are imposed by the Government and we must and will adhere to these rules. It will mean that some (maybe many) problems that patients have will not be able to be treated at present and will have to be postponed until the restrictions are relaxed. If you are unsure if your concern qualifies ...as urgent or emergency, please call us on 98611400 and speak to our receptionist. Our answer phone is always active so leave us a message and your best contact number if you call when we are unable to get to the phone. Australian printed copies will be available at Wagin Dental Centre soon!... Many of you will have noticed Rob's weight loss of a couple of years ago. He lost 18kg by adding a healthy sleep routine to diet and exercise - which on their own were not working. The book is an entertaining journey of understanding the balance around sleep, activity and nutrition for your body. It is full of easy to apply information, backed up with reliable science punctuated with humour.

15.01.2022 It has been wonderful to be back to almost normal for a couple of weeks now. There are no longer any restrictions on the type of dental treatment we can offer or carry out for you. It has been lovely to see our regular (and not so regular) patients again and to welcome many new ones. Thank you all for the kind words of thanks and support many of you have offered in recognition of our remaining open during the severe restrictions. We still have some extra protocols in place for the continued protection of everyone. 10.01.2022 TIME FOR A SHORTBREAK We all need a break sometimes and Wagin Dental Centre is taking one this week. We will be closed from Mon 9th November to Friday 13th November.... We a very proud of the fact that the surgery uses only West Australian Technicians and Labs as part of the unseen team behind us. Kerry Norris is now assisting in the surgery as well as continuing to manage the practi...ce. Local golfing legend Jan Painter is our part-time assistant and the amazingly capable Tuija Adams is at reception, ensuring the pleasant patient experience starts as soon as you walk in the door.
