25.01.2022 We have sadly been made aware that there have been a few outbreaks of the deadly Parvo virus in South East Queensland and Northern NSW. Please if your pets vaccinations have lapsed , consider vaccinating as soon as possible against this very preventable disease.

23.01.2022 With Christmas day fast approaching, please dont feed your pets the rich Ham, Lamb or any cured meats. These very yummy human foods result in pancreatitis in our dogs ....so spoil them with love and dog friendly food

22.01.2022 Please take care during this very hot weather. The heat absorbed through your dogs paws will reduce their ability to cool down. Avoid hot times of day...and walk on grass. Heat exhaustion can be fatal.

18.01.2022 Great advice for the next few months.

18.01.2022 This is a paralysis tick that I have just removed from my cat ( Nurse Sian) . The cats were just due to be dosed. This tick was probably about to die as it had just fixed on and not yet engorged. The Bravecto is working but please be aware of when your animals are due treatment and that you are using the correct dose for their bodyweight. This little tick could have cost me alot of $$$$ and probably killed my cat. Fortunately he is fine Please feel free to ask advice if y...ou are unsure of what products to use. 16.01.2022 Summer can be a difficult time for some pets. Allergies are commonly seen through out the warmer months. Our hot humid climate here in Brisbane does not help. Allergies can normally be quite well managed, not always curable just like in humans... but there are a variety of treatments some simple and some more complex that we can help you with. Allergies can be quite debilitating and uncomfortable for your pet. Please feel free to call us or message us if you are struggling with an itchy dog or cat.

At these uncertain times we feel it is best for the safety of our clients and our families that we temporarily limit some of our services and hours of operation. ... We kindly ask our clients to postpone any routine health checks and vaccinations (unless a puppy/kitten or required for boarding purposes) We also will not be providing cat grooming and nail trims at this time. We will still be available for appointments and medication deliveries on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays 8am 6pm Our reception will be available on the phone from 8am - 6pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday Outside these hours please send us an email [email protected] to request an appointment All existing appointments are not affected Our Facebook page and emails will be answered, and we will endeavour to respond as soon as possible to your requests for appointments. As always if your pet is suffering from any of the below symptoms it is best to seek medical attention from a clinic (your local vet clinic can assist during business hours or we have a comprehensive list of Emergency after hours clinics on our website). If you have trouble transporting your pet to the clinic the Brisbane Animal Ambulance is available to assist. Examples needing a clinic visit - Breathing difficulties - Struggling to give birth - Swollen abdomen or retching (especially large dog) - Open wound injuries - Trauma (car accident) - Male cats struggling to urinate - Swallowing hazards (ie toys/clothes etc) - Ingestion of poison/harmful substances* - Collapse* - Eye problems* - Vomiting or diarrhoea* - Loss of thirst & appetite* - Seizuring / fitting* * Contact us to discuss each individual case as some milder cases can be seen in the home Most importantly we wish everyone of the 2 and 4 legged variety to stay safe during this time. This gorgeous litter of American Staffy puppies are ready to go to their new homes now.
