Ive had 4 separate enquires about Balingup accommodation in the last fortnight so I knew I had to get some on my books! This gorgeous farm stay is just what the doctor ordered. Linen provided, shuttles to the Bibbulmun Track and a wood fire to cosy up at night. Couple of tips: Plan Ahead : I know guests who have tried to book wineries 3 weeks prior and can not get a booking. Most are still taking walk ins around 11am but with such an influx of customers, prepare for a wait. ... The same applies for takeaway and for coffee .... book as far in advance as possible as many takeaway stores may not be able to accommodate the influx in demand. Don’t get upset if you haven’t planned and have to wait. The small businesses/wineries are not doing this to annoy you. They are understaffed and enjoying a real boom in demand so there is a limit to what they can provide. They are desperate to provide all of you with the best service possible but with such heavy demand it may not be possible. Be Kind and Be Prepared to Find an Alternative For alternatives maybe call up and get a packed lunch for a picnic from a cafe? Magpie Coffee Cafe for example, can provide this but make sure you give them plenty of notice so they can accommodate. If you are traveling with kids, take all the snacks! You might get a seat at that restaurant but will the kitchen be heaving and your meals come a little later than you would like? Adults can cope with delayed food.... children can not. Set yourself up for success and take back up food for the whole day so if you can’t get in somewhere you can still enjoy the gorgeous scenery! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!
