20.01.2022 Waikerie Fauna Park featured on page 3 of the Murray Pioneer last week. Well done team. Keep up the good work!

20.01.2022 The Waikerie Fauna Park's new water feature is coming along well with its ponds & cascades. Gardener/landscaper Lester Lawrie & Karen Leske from Waikerie Garden & Landscape Centre are now planning the types of plants & rocks and irrigation components.

18.01.2022 Thank you to the wonderful volunteers from the Waikerie Men's Shed. It was a team effort! Ralph Ohlmeyer patiently propagated (having green fingers helps) about 100 salt bush plants for the Waikerie Fauna Park. Bob Kemp and his team planted them inside the enclosure fence & built a temporary barrier to give the plants a chance to grow and Lester Lawrie installed the irrigation. Thank you to all involved. Job well done. More projects are also on the way!

14.01.2022 Sunday spent munching on greenery - weeds from the block.

14.01.2022 During the week the Waikerie CFS Cadets volunteered to put fairy lights on the old kangaroo playground inside the Waikerie Fauna Park - under the watchful eye of senior CFS volunteer Paul Cryer. Not sure who had more fun - Paul, who grew up playing on the kangaroo, or the cadets who are not old enough to remember when the kangaroo playground was located at the Waikerie riverfront as a popular playground. Thank you to Tia & the team at Woody's Variety Store for generously donating the lights.

13.01.2022 The Waikerie Fauna Park & the Cadell Training Centre Community Works team get a big mention in today's Murray Pioneer. Great work and what a brilliant looking new fence! Thank you to the team from DCLW Waikerie Works Depot & Bob Squires for help in making this happen.

09.01.2022 Some full tummies at breakfast time at the Waikerie Fauna Park.

06.01.2022 Lester Lawrie has planted our native trees, shrubs, grasses & groundcovers from Waikerie Garden And Landscape Centre around the new water feature. The irrigation is also in with materials generously donated by Total Eden Waikerie. Coming along nicely...

06.01.2022 What an awesome job the Cadell Training Centre Community Work Unit team members did on the Waikerie Fauna Park's new fence. Thank you for your great work & helping us out. Looks so much better!

05.01.2022 Look what was started at the Waikerie Fauna Park today... The first sod was turned for the first stage of the park beautification program - the beginnings of a three pond water feature.

01.01.2022 Check out page 10 (story at the top of the page) of today's Murray Pioneer about the Waikerie Primary School Youth Environment Team's visit to the Waikerie Fauna Park. Well done to the students who also videoed their visit which may be soon be seen on the tv show Behind the News (BTN).
