City of Rockingham set to host Romance on the Green for the fourth time. Running from 6pm 10pm as part of the City of Rockinghams Summer Series of free, family-friendly, smoke-free and alcohol-free events, patrons will be able to enjoy the Perth Symphony Orchestra and special guests, as they play a number of iconic pieces. The audience at Romance on the Green will be treated to a series of orchestra classics, film tunes, rock hits, and musical theatre anthems. Theres a great line-up of live entertainment on offer with... performances by LIVE WIRE, Chain Duo, Gypsy Lou and the Kingfishers and Ashlea Reale, as well as free fun activities to keep the kids busy including an obstacle course and climbing wall, and plenty of food trucks to choose from. It all kicks off at 5pm, with the fireworks display at 8.30pm to finish the celebration. There will be a variety of kids' crafting, games and activities, a local market, and food trucks around the Safety Bay Yacht Club. In the afternoon, the Kite Karnival will kick off with kitesurfers young and old showing their best tricks and highest jumps. 18 January, 10am-6pm, Safety Bay Yacht Club, Safety Bay Road.
