24.01.2022 On Friday the 13th of September, 2019, we had the absolute pleasure of performing at a fundraiser for the Nundah Community Enterprises Cooperative By our 3rd encore it seems that Chef "Jason" (Steve Goodale) had had enough :-D It was a friendly crowd with lots of mates in the audience, hence a bunch of silliness and fun between and even during songs. NCEC is a social enterprise in Brisbane that employs people with disabilities/mental health issues, and other disadvantaged wor...kers. The event was held at Espresso Train, one of the Co-op's enterprises. View on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=26EDMnuAbgY

23.01.2022 8 days to go! Entry from 6pm by a gold coin at the door. Nine Lives are generously donating a percentage of takings to the Qld Rural Fire Brigade.

23.01.2022 A new practice room snippet from Waiting For Barwick, for your pleasure and delight - recorded 30th March 2019 (with no dubs) direct on a Zoom Livetrak L-12 mixer/recorder:- our groovy cover of "Sneakin Up On You" (by Ted Daryl & Chip Taylor), made famous in '65 by Peggy Lee. Lynne Eisentrager sings up a storm, Glen Dakin twangs the heck out of his new Maton, Glenn Bell carouses his Jazz bass, and John Frame takes his new Gon Bops congas out for a stroll in swing land. http://queerradio.org/WFB_practice_20190330_Sneakin_Up_On_Y (256kps stereo 5mb). We are keen to play live again real soon, but no dates are set (except perhaps for Graham Gorrie's "Roxley" party in July). xx john

17.01.2022 As you can see Lynne was pretty excited to point out her lemon shaped shaker to the cooks in the room I mean, it's a lemon, but it's a shaker!!! Who wouldn't be excited?!!!

16.01.2022 Have you booked your tickets to see Waiting for Barwick at Espresso Train on Friday the 13th? These events book out fast so be quick!

16.01.2022 Waiting For Barwick are overjoyed, excited in fact, to once again play a Nine Lives art event at the Morningside School of Arts. "The Night Before Christmas" is a Gold-Coin-Donation charity fundraiser from 6-10pm Saturday 30th November. Nibble on goodies as you inspect the lovely works of art. Sway to the delightful music, Ponder the possibilites of life itself (it's a limited time offer!). We will be playing a fresh and festive set. The historic venue is at the corner of Thynne and Wynnum Rds, with free local parking.

10.01.2022 Our cover of First Aid Kit's Lion's Roar, performed at Espresso Train

09.01.2022 From Waiting For Barwick's 25th May '19 practice session - our cover of Lee Hazlewood's "Houston" (made most famous by Dean Martin). This is the first time I've played bongos for this song (rather than congas) - but I was under strict instructions from Lynne to not clap too loudly (or else!): www.queerradio.org/WFB_practice_20190515_Houston.mp3 (3mins, 256kps stereo)

08.01.2022 Another one from our Friday the 13th performance at Espresso Train
