25.01.2022 Tank overflow on a hot day. Stay cool everyone.
25.01.2022 A BIG Thank you to the wonderfully talented ladies at Truth Designs for once again coming to my rescue with our Website. The team built our site a couple of years ago from a combination of two old sites. Made it phone friendly and much much easier for me to manage myself. While they have now got me to the stage of doing a good 90% of my own updates it is fabulous to have them here in Gayndah to back me up. Having said that I know they have clients from far and wide. Given we are all working a little differently now with Covid... I can highly recommend their skills and professionalism to help work through your businesses ideas. :)
24.01.2022 Beautiful last minutes of the day. Pa pa having a chat with the grandkids on the phone after unloading hay for the afternoon.

24.01.2022 We ended up keeping this young Sire. Having lost one of our lead Proven Sires just prior to the DN Sale that year we decided he was too good to let go. Great stats, type and a DNA SIre Profiled son of Wajatryn Devil. We are so glad we pulled that rein.... have been selling his sons on property this year. Beautiful daughters to continue taking us forward. video work Warren and Drew and a dog you can hear Warren tell to get behind.
23.01.2022 Had a hunt around my photos. This is Wajatryn 2338 Knightly at 22 months. Sire of todays $160,000 top Priced bull Rondel Whiskey at the National Sale.
22.01.2022 and thanks to Jane for her view of this bull on this day. Have a great weekend everyone, cheers from us.
21.01.2022 And there goes our relaxed weekend gardening. We renewed a bit of our house yard fence. Warren built this fence 30 years ago when we had 2 small children. I planted the tree, never imagining it would grow this beautifully. And start pushing the fence over. Fence now goes around it and I have an opportunity to plant a bit more garden up. Needs a paint and to rehang the gate again after it’s paint and we are done. New fencing these days Warren does mostly in steel but was nice to work with timber and stick to the theme of the garden. Our team of assistants always on hand. Hoping today is as beautiful a day as yesterday was. Have a great week everyone.
21.01.2022 Phone pics. Out n about this morning, checking an internal fence line. Couple of tree pics. I Love our old trees..... :) and some local residents. 3 black cockatoos..One day I will have time to take more wildlife pics and maybe even paint a few. Happy Sunday everyone.
20.01.2022 Friday afternoon dam bank, solar pump maintenance. Almost a sea breeze feel here to cool us down
20.01.2022 Good morning Friday. I am adding a link here to our website because FB has prompted me to link more often to it. This is our 3rd Website in our over 30 years and they just get easier to manage so I should promote it more. Link here to our Paddock Sale Bulls page but I have updated the Home page, Current Sires page and 2020 Bulls for Sale page. (some sales results there) Have a great day everyone. While we have once again had a great early run on bull sales direct from o...ur properties here at Gayndah.... our plan is in this next week to muster and draft our next line of paddock sale bulls. They will be Semen and Morphology tested and good to go to work for you towards the end of October. These girls Warren AI’d to Nioka Pablo and Wajatryn Devil. The rest of the lead of our 2020 replacement heifers went for natural service to Minlacowie Vinnie and Wajatryn Jack Daniels. Warren has done an annual AI program for over 35 years and we always enjoy sending them out to breeder paddocks (which is what will happen with these girls over the next couple of days) and waiting to see our results.
17.01.2022 the last time we had ‘3’ (Lawson) With us at a bull sale. Time flies. He will be home from Uni soon for a short break. I’m excited. Have a great weekend everyone.

16.01.2022 Calves don’t come much newer than this little bull. We drove past this cow up on a little ridge and saw she was calving. Went on to check cattle at a bore. Back an hour later and here he was. Up and sucking and mum’s cleaned him up. He looked to be pretty happy and he has a lot of mates hitting the ground now. Exciting time of year. Albeit a bit cold and windy today. Have a great weekend everyone. :) might rain.
16.01.2022 Good morning. Heads up for our buyers of our commercial cattle. We have 55 head of young weaned steers and heifers going to the Burnett Livestock and Realty sale in Biggenden tomorrow. They are light weight done it pretty tough in a hill paddock but have been well handled and are easy to work - they are quiet and know what feed is as they had a bit of supplement crumble at weaning. Have a great Sunday everyone. We will truck these this afternoon.
14.01.2022 We often post our day to day goings on here at Wajatryn. Not supported by my usual photos tonight but it’s not all work and as we often say ‘we love what we do’. 2 bull inspection visits and all old friends today. Early visitors buying one of what we consider was one of our top bulls in our 2020 registered team (more info and photos of him later this week).... and afternoon visitors checking out next years young team .... and bringing beer. Few quiet ones this afternoon with the True Blue Team. Really nice day of catchups and not bad for a Monday.
13.01.2022 Images from 2 years ago of breeders at our property ‘Lawson Valley’. This is why we love what we do.
13.01.2022 A Happy Hump day story. We often say we Love what we do and the Good Cattle People we deal with. Great to hear this morning from past buyers and see their photo of a bull bought a few years back. I remember this couple walking through mud and rain here at Wajatryn on the day they selected this bull. Hoping they have a season like that one come their way soon. Great to see their Wajatryn Bull out doing his job despite the dry. Their pic and their commentOut in the paddock this morning and took a photo of a bull we bought off you a few years ago. Doing a great job and holding onto his condition after a terrible few years of dry Have the best of afternoons and..GO QLD tonight.
13.01.2022 Came through in memories this morning. 4 years ago we had a year off the DN sale too. We have always invited our buyers to Inspect and Select on property here at Wajatryn. That year, along with our bulk lines of bulls, our top priced bull sold to Kimberley Bred for $40,000 and we have since seen great photos of him 'at work in WA'. Have a great day everyone. Days are beautiful. We are out and about at the moment but I hear we have a big flock of black cockatoos in the creek at home at Wajatryn. :) a good season ahead maybe.

11.01.2022 Great day for us securing this bull. Top priced bull 2018 Droughtmaster National Sale. Brian at his best Auctioneering. . Many of you have seen this Sires sons in our Weaner Bulls here this year. They will be for Sale next year. All that we were chasing when we bought this bull. Beautiful temperament, great skin, moves well, tremendous bone and structurally correct. These days a lot of people call anything with Nuts a ‘Sire’ ... they are generally not. . THIS Bull is a Sire. And we are thrilled with the job he is doing.
11.01.2022 Congratulations to the Carrington Family, Rondel stud on their Sale today of $160,000. Rondel Whiskey. Lot 111 here. Sold Monday this week and off to his new home in a couple of weeks.....I still haven't got a current photo of him. For those of you who saw him here on property inspections this year you may know this bull. I will make the time to get a good image of him before he goes. 05.01.2022 Good morning Friday. Thought I’d share ‘Hudsons’ pic as he was our lead bull and went to a great home and regular repeat buyer in that year. Have a great weekend everyone. Still plenty going on here at Wajatryn. We have a mare back from the horse yesterday so a foal for 2021. Work on other young horses to do. Processing young cattle, starting our AI program. 03.01.2022 This time last year... and the drought has continued .... and we continue to improve water infrastructure and hang in there. Lucky our Droughty girls are tough. I will say here I am a bit behind in returning messages at the moment. I apologise but priorities of cattle rule. Haven’t even had time as we are out in the paddock for photos of our great drop of current calves. One hot day I will rip into the office and catch up. We have exciting plans heading into 2021. We will do our end of year thankyou’s and wrap up soon.... Enjoy of Family Christmas .... Warren will work on his sandcastle building and bring on 2021.
03.01.2022 Good morning Friday. This is Cobba. He approaches every day with this enthusiasm. Love him. Other pics are our ad and a sale report page from the latest Droughty Magazine. We have received our August Copy. Arrived this Monday. Having spoken to 4 people this week though as late as yesterday afternoon I know there are those of you who have not received it. Of those 4 people none had a DN sale catalogue yet and only one the Magazine. All 4 have spent good money buying b...ulls over many and in recent years. So I understand your disappointment. I have sent a polite email to the office a week ago now but no response..... so the best I can do is say you are not alone. It may turn up. From our perspective we target print media at those who are not always on the internet and rely on their magazines and catalogues. I am sure what ever has happened will be ironed out and look forward to hearing you have received at least your magazine. Have a great Friday. :) Cobba here won't be doing a lot. We have all of the family home soon for a get together so he will get lots of treats and rides in the back of the ute. See more
03.01.2022 Cobba and Jaffa. Part of Yesterday’s boundary fence maintenance team.... well they finished off the last of what we had in our lunch esky anyway.
02.01.2022 Phone pics from our few days this week at the beach working on our paperwork and planning.... and some fishing. Beautiful Hervey Bay. Only an hour and a half away. Hard to resist a little quiet, slow pace beach time and friendly wildlife now and then. Back to the real work for us now .... the cattle work
01.01.2022 Another blast from the past video and sale report this morning. Peter Brazier doing the great job he always does. Jane Lowe also on her toes keeping up with the sale and reporting. We sold our Wajatryn Bulls this year on property to new and repeat buyers. No Wajatryn bulls at this years DN Sale. Next auction sale for us is The Highlands Sale in central Queensland in March 2021. Next paddock sale bulls will have their semen and morphology and all vet tests and vaccinations by the end of this October. See our website or contact us for more info. Cheers Carolyn and Warren and family.
01.01.2022 The boys have dropped the pallet tree the kids made years ago at the grid this afternoon. I will give it a spruce up tomorrow but it does give a Christmassy feel as you drive into Wajatryn. Have a great weekend everyone. Cool drinks at the shed for all tonight after a massive week here. cheers the Kenny’s
