22.01.2022 This is disgusting why are we sending our hay overseas when our own farmers are struggling ??

19.01.2022 I had an interesting question asked of me recently. It was a little morbid but it made me think. When you are on your death bed what are some things that you ...would want consumers to know about your life as a farmer. As I sat down for breakfast this morning I took a moment to try and answer it. These are my thoughts. I’d love to hear yours. I DID MY BEST I did my best to feed my family and yours. I took what nature gave me graciously or at least with a there is always next year attitude. I did my best to listen to your wants and needs. I tried to farm the way you wanted me to even if I didn’t always agree. I did my best to find a balance between providing cheap food and making a living while never sacrificing quality or welfare. I did my best to put my livestock first. I took care of them before I took care of myself. I may have some regrets for time lost with family and friends and experiences passed by but it’s part of the job of feeding the world. I took up the challenge willingly and I would do it again in a heartbeat. I have no apologies for my life as a farmer. It was born out of compassion for animals and a passion for growing things. I did my best to nurture my land and leave it in better shape than when I started. My legacy is in my family, in my soil and in my livestock. I’ve done my best to care for them with the best of my ability and they are my gift to you. Cherish and love them like I did. My life as a farmer wasn’t perfect and I’ve made mistakes. It was a hard but rewarding journey. Some of you may be critical of the life I led but please know that.... I DID MY BEST. ~Farmer Tim

18.01.2022 A sad day when Victorian Gov donates a sizable donation to build a mosque but not assist farmers doing it tough on the land. When did religious ideology become more important than hard working people on the land??? THE Victorian government just donated $400,000 of taxpayer money for the construction of a new mega-mosque in a country town with only 466 Muslims. That’s $858 per person.... The initial proposal of the Bendigo Mosque in 2014 sparked mass-demonstrations in the Victorian country town. More than 400 objections were lodged against the Mosque’s planning application, which led to fierce debate. Locals concerned the Mosque is not being built for the current population of 466 Muslims in Bendigo. They believe the idea is to attract a sizeable Islamic community which will form an enclave in their town. I reckon they’re pretty spot on. In 2016, free speech took a blow when three men were charged for staging a mock beheading in front of the City of Greater Bendigo offices in protest of the proposed Mosque. All three men were found guilty and convicted in 2017. Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews took part in a sod-turning ceremony at the site last Friday. This is a victory over extremism, bigotry and dark views Daniel Andrews stated. The irony in that comment baffles me. Victoria police have promised to allocate resources to protect the building site until its completion. This comes after a Community Fun Run in the same town was cancelled due to Islamic terrorism concerns and a lack of funds to implement new anti-terror measures. Go figure. https://www.tr.news/government-donates-mega-mosque/

04.01.2022 MUSLIMS TO CHALLENGE MISCONCEPTIONS ABOUT ISLAM My question is why is it 60 men? Considering one of the biggest perceptions is that women are oppressed under I...slam. Would it not make more sense for both sexes to be out trying to challenge these misconceptions? The road trip will see young men from six cities visit more than 50 rural towns on the way to a gathering at Uluru. A group of young Australian Muslims are embarking on a rural expedition across the country to challenge misconceptions about their faith. More than 60 young men from the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association (AYMA) will travel from six cities this weekend on a seven-day ‘Discover Islam road trip’, culminating in a gathering at Uluru. The group, made up of several high school and university students, will cover more than 30,000km and stop at more than 50 towns along the way in an effort to promote social cohesion.
