18.01.2022 Fitted and all secure, love doing a bit of old school joinery. I even cut the glass on this one for convenience, 6mm plate will take a bit of breaking hopefully.

16.01.2022 Some beautiful marri tops we did a few years ago

16.01.2022 It's been really hard but I've managed to find some table humour.

16.01.2022 We tackle almost any jobs that are timber related. Here’s an example; The client had these really beautiful leather club lounges but as is, with all these design they are very low to the ground, so much so that anyone over 40 couldn’t get out of them without making the sound effects we make as we mature. So we tried a few different options before settling on a 100mm (4) lift. So off I went made them some new legs out of recycled Jarrah, lacquered and fitted them. From the ...moment they sat in them we knew we had hit the mark. Now instead of groans there were sighs of relief and palpable joy. They sent me this text today which was lovely. Neil, we just wanted to say the couch comfort is great thank you. Our friends who had sat in it two years also noticed that we had it raised up and it is so much better. Thanks heaps. Great job! A small job, but brought a lot of satisfaction to the client, and job satisfaction to me.

14.01.2022 A recent outdoor setting completed for a residential home run by Crosslinks. Made from 100% recycled Jarrah

12.01.2022 Hi everyone, I’ve been pretty quiet of late. A lot of personal turmoil had left me putting my business in mothballs for a while. I’m at the end of that now, and the good news is I’m staying in Darlington (The business name would have looked pretty silly anywhere else) So here I am, happy and rejuvenated, and ready to start on a small scale, having said that, I was always willing to do the small jobs no one wanted to tackle. So if it’s made of wood, I can probably make i...t, install it, or repair it. At this stage, the smaller the job the better. Cheers Neil See more

11.01.2022 A coffee table from a couple of years ago, made with recycled Jarrah from an old veranda. No new trees were harmed in the making of this piece.

10.01.2022 Hi Everyone, just to give you an update on Wakeford's Of Darlington. I, Neil Wakeford have been on a journey of self-discovery in the past year. Work was quiet and erratic in its frequency, so I decided to do something completely different but extremely worthwhile. I began working with intellectually disabled adults in share home across eastern Perth. It has been a roller coaster to say the least, I often write about my days on my personal Facebook, (feel free to add me) ...to much hilarity from my friends. I'm still doing my woodwork in my spare time , it is the saviour of my sanity at times. So please don't hesitate to contact us if you need anything doing in timber. Not only will you be getting an old skool British craftsman you will be saving him from going loopy Anyway take care, friends, customers old and new. Neil

08.01.2022 Just had a little ride around Darlington today, it is bulk collection and picked up some lovely pieces of wood and furniture for repurposing. I left every pile tidy as I know that infuriates home owners when all their hard work gets ransacked. So if you want to get rid of anything timber related and feel it's a shame to see it go to landfill, give me a buzz 0419953600. Text is probably best. Cheers Neil

05.01.2022 Thanks again Neil, for the wonderful job you have done on my chest Terri

04.01.2022 Quite an unusual job, a seriously ratty piece of timber, filled with resin to make a bar top fitted to the side of a VW. Kombi Keg is available for hire for weddings and functions.
