20.01.2022 We do not make this post lightly, and it is with considerable sadness that we do. Wakeley Vet Group has ZERO tolerance for abuse, physical or verbal, towards any staff member or any other patron of our clinic. We understand that often, you are stressed and emotional when requiring our services. We understand how financially difficult unexpected vet bills can be. We understand how frustrating it can be to try different approaches and treatments without much success. We unders...tand your pain when you have to say goodbye to your baby. And we understand that now more than ever, things are scary and unpredictable. But now, more than ever, we need our clients to show us the same understanding. We are a small team of dedicated vets, nurses and kennel hands, trying to serve a community of thousands. We will always do as much as we can with the resources available to us. We try to make your time at our clinic as pleasant and as comfortable as possible, but often emergencies arise and our best laid plans can easily go awry. Our team will always work as hard as we can to keep things running smoothly, but we ask patience and understanding when we cannot. It is a basic expectation that our staff will be treated respectfully at all times. We will NOT tolerate abuse of any kind. Any abuse, physical or verbal, will be recorded. You will be asked to leave our premises, and if deemed appropriate, your details will be passed onto the police. We are here to keep your pets safe and healthy, but the safety and well-being of our team is paramount. If you cannot treat our team respectfully, please find an alternative veterinary clinic. We would like to take this opportunity to thank the many, many clients who are always a pleasure to work with and who have been so understanding during these testing times. Your support is incredibly valued and sometimes, your kind words make a difference bigger than you know.

12.01.2022 Who here works hard so their pets can have a better life?

11.01.2022 Since being in our care for over 1 week now, this little guy has really come out of his shell Sadly, he has not had one enquiry about him yet Please, consider opening up your hearts & homes to Bollo Benefits of adopting an adult cat (source- Sydney Dogs & Cats Home):... -They require less supervision than kittens & are less likely to destroy your home if you are not around to supervise them - Their personalities are fully developed so you know what you are getting -Adult cats are more likely to be litter trained -Most adult cats have come from a home so they may be accustomed to children or other pets (NB: they may initially be shy, but they have experience interacting with humans and are likely to be friendly). - Adult cats are better with children as they don’t have the very sharp teeth and claws of a kitten, and they will be more gentle-natured in their play and interaction. -Older cats still like to play in-between their naps. Help us find him a home so he doesn’t have to spend Christmas in a kennel

10.01.2022 I have been ADOPTED Hello I’m Garnet When I first arrived at the clinic I was weak, could barely hold my head up & I had to be put on oxygen. They didn’t think that I would survive ... With some TLC, warmth & food in my belly, I survived the night! I was a bit of a spitfire the next day I felt so much better. I was even strong enough to try & run away from those pesky humans - they were annoying, always wanting to cuddle me & they would say what a special girl I was After a few days I realised these humans weren’t going to hurt me & I started to enjoy the attention Whilst being in care of the staff of Wakeley Vet, I’ve grown into such a confident, sassy little girl. I’m very adventurous, love toys, food & of course human companionship. They say I’m a diamond in the rough I’d love to be able to find a fur-ever family to spend my first Christmas with I come at an adoption fee of $250 which includes my 1st vaccination, microchipping, desexing & up to date with worming/flea control. Please note: I’m currently recovering from a mild cold so I will be available to go to my new home from 24/11/20. To book a meet & greet with me, please call Natalie on 02 9609 7966

I have to say - I am also a little bit of a ladies man & have stolen the hearts of the female staff at the clinic My wish this Christmas is to find a fur-ever family to call my own My previous owner had children & reported that I was fine with them I come at an adoption fee of $150 which includes my 1st vaccination, microchipping, desexing & up to date with worming/flea control. If you would like to arrange a meet & greet with me, please call my people on 02 9609 7966 (ask for Natalie)
