17.01.2022 It lightly snowed/ sleeted during milking this arvo, a little too much moisture on the ground for much to settle though. There is the possibility of more overnight so we will see what 4am brings when we are back to do it all again

16.01.2022 I would nearly suggest the girls are happier than pigs in mud

13.01.2022 Silage making time. School holidays are always fun, you’ve got the Boss, the Big Boss and the Big Big Boss and even I have to guess who’s who sometimes . They would know this farming gig better than most.#walchadairy

11.01.2022 Moved the drys and calves onto fresh pasture and more sheltered paddocks and they are pretty impressed. If only they knew what that wind was bringing with it

09.01.2022 Spring has sprung, and that means spring babies. The 13th born spring heifer calf proudly wears a 7 on her face. Lucky 7 or unlucky 13 , I guess it’s all about perspectives #walchadairy #positivevibes

07.01.2022 Sorted the dry girls this morning, took 40 odd back to the springer paddock. The dry girls that stayed behind were very happy with thier new paddock

04.01.2022 Mother Nature can’t decide what it’s doing today. One minute there’s a downpour, next the sun is shining. We took the opportunity to move some of our younger bubbas out of the hutches today and into the big girl paddocks. They are loving the wide open space, but the wind and rain not so much ( and not quite smart enough to workout to go into the shed )
