22.01.2022 Dear Parents, We’d like to draw your attention to the survey link about our Out of School Hours Care parent survey below. The DoE have already had over 1,800 responses from 169 schools. These insights have already proven valuable in planning and prioritising the roll out of the Out of School Hours Care commitment across the state. To ensure our school’s before and after school care needs are met in 2021, the DoE would appreciate your support in completing the survey. It wil...l remain open until Friday 27 November 2020. https://surveys.education.nsw.gov.au/s3/OSHCParentSurvey

17.01.2022 On Tuesday Charlotte, Emily, Jannali and Steven joined a small group of students from Wakehurst PS in Sydney for a Zoom chat. The students asked each other some questions to get to know each other. The students compared the size and location of each school. They asked what their favourite subjects at school are and what each other did for fun outside school. Both groups found that no matter where you live, kids love the same things such as online games and music apps. Wakehurst PS is Ms Mason’s substantive school in Sydney, so it was lovely to make that connection during NAIDOC Week. The students from Wakehurst raised over $560 to buy books for our students to use in the classroom here at Walhallow PS as a NAIDOC Week gift. Thank you Ms Mason for coordinating and to Wakehurst PS students, staff and community for their generosity.

16.01.2022 Thank you to our wonderful SAS staff for all of the wonderful things you do for the staff and students of Walhallow. We appreciate you all.

01.01.2022 Thank you to Gail and Barb from the Red Cross Pillowcase Program who visited our Echidna Class this week. The Pillowcase Program is a disaster resilience education program designed to help children prepare psychologically and practically for an emergency. Delivered by Red Cross staff and volunteers, the workshop encourages students to be active participants in their own emergency preparedness. This program links to the NSW PDHPE and Geography Syllabus and the students thoroughly enjoyed it.
