19.01.2022 So today is the end of an era. The last Qantas 747 was retired to the Mohave Desert and our WS07 was also retired from Walkabout Services,. It was our 1st brand new truck we had purchased. It was the 1st for a number of drivers / operators to experience (some hadn’t been very nice to him and had to be moved on themselves, but he kept on keeping on) It’s the 1st truck that we have kept over 6 years - in fact it has served us loyally, safely and reliably for 12 years, day shi...fts / night shifts, has travelled all around Australia (never made it to WA though ) And it’s the 1st truck that I can truly say that I am sad to see go, it was the smallest truck we have in our fleet but it was my favorite! It’s a sad day here at Walkabout as we say goodbye to WS07, his plates will be retired and mounted on the wall... His replacement has big shoes to fil and maybe it’s coincidence that the next truck is WS27 so it bares 07’s legacy. WS07, I say thank you and may your new owners treat you well and enjoy your service as we have.
