25.01.2022 ******** INVERELL WORKSHOP ******** I was privileged to spend the last 2 days in Inverell, delivering my Healing Our Future Trauma & Recovery Workshop with the community! Every time that I visit the community of Inverell, I’m welcomed with open minds, open arms, and open hearts! ... Over 2 days our group of 30 participants, were guided through a process of Cleansing past hurts, Healing today’s pain, Un-programming negative behaviour, Re-programming positive repetition, and Future Application processes! Trauma is not a dirty word, nor does it have to be a death sentence! When we accept, understand, make the right choices, and take ownership of our WELLBEING , nothing can stop us from BEING WELL!!!! A massive shout out to Armajun Aboriginal Health Service for believing in and supporting what I do to help others to help themselves, and a big thank you to James Sheather for your tireless work, leadership and dedication to all of the mob that you represent... During this time we will be conducting our Community Engagement visits in Far North Queensland! ... We are sorry if this causes any inconvenience to our regular and new clients, however we have been chewing at the bit to get out and about to those communities out there who need us, and this will be our first opportunity to do so! Where I am now in my life, is a product of my own self belief, my own sacrifices, and my own ability to back myself! ... I’m at a spiritual level, where I don’t care what others say about me or what others think of me, because I’m in control of all aspects of my life. I’m on a dangerous level of spiritual, emotional and mental growth, and grow I will continue to do! 10.01.2022 ************** MEET JAI ************** Jai walked through our doors with his support staff from Red Frog for Families, and we instantly knew that he needed our help! Jai hadn’t had a haircut for years due to his sensory concerns, and we knew we had to gain his trust so he could trust us! After 3 or 4 visits with us playing games and hiding toys around the shop for him to find (without 1 hair being cut from his head) he finally allowed me to snip a little from his pony tail, a...nd then the progress happened! Over the next few visits, Jai allowed myself and Billy to cut his hair gradually from a pony, to a bob, and then to a short back and sides! This little man is the epitome of being brave and proof that you can face your fears in life, and do anything if you put your mind to it! What may seem like just a haircut is so much more, this haircut has opened up a whole new world for Jai, his Mum, his Dad, and his little brother who also struggled getting hair cuts, but now has a hero in his life to look up to in his brother Jai!!! WE LOVE YOU JAI, you have made all of our lives brighter, the day you walked through our doors! #storiesfromthebarberchair

I’m not going to make any bold statements, and I’m not going to try to predict where this year is going to take me, instead I’m going to take myself there!
