17.01.2022 G,day everyone, COVID 19 stage 3 starts today. Its much the same as the previous stage only they have upped our numbers to 50, and patrons dont have to be seated. We still need to take everyones details and maintain social distancing. As you can see from the signs we are having sessions at the moment due to staff and costumer shortages. No meals as yet. Hopefully that will change in the not to distant future. The beer has been tested by our in-house experts and is outstanding. Pop in and try one.

02.01.2022 Hello all. Firstly we would like to convey our heartfelt thanks to the very special and thoughtful Mckinlay Community who recently presented us with a very generous gift. We are very we are very honoured to be part of such a wonderful group of people. Our takings have been a bit lean lately to say the least. This was so unexpected and very much appreciated. Thanks again one and all. Secondly there seems to be a lot of confusion around pubs opening on Saturday. We are confuse...d, and the media can always be relied on as a constant source of misinformation. Below is the current Roadmap to easing Queenslands restrictions. It seems we can open on Saturday for dining in only. For locals only. One person per four square meters of venue, and the real kicker is, no bars or gaming . The gaming wont worry us too much, but it wont be much of a pub with no bar. Until this is sorted out, hopefully sooner rather than later, we will remain take away only. As it stands, opening date looks like being the 10th of July. We will keep you posted. See more
01.01.2022 58 and a half mls of glorious rain last night, total of 98 so far. The mighty Mckinlay is lapping the bridge. The water is about 450 over the road at Bull Creek and I think about 650 over at Gidyea Creek.

01.01.2022 How’s this for patience and dedication. Lachlan Simpson and his hand crafted model of Wal’s valiant Ute.
