10.01.2022 Announcement Due to the COVID-19 and many other reasons we have decided to not hold our festival this year. We are looking at 18th 19th September 2021 for our new festival date so pencil it in. Hope everyone is safe and healthy and look forward to seeing everyone next year.

07.01.2022 Soooooo, we are just 1 week out from The FNQ Country Music Festival and Walkamin Country Music Club Talent Quest and its time to start setting up at the venue Kerribee Park Rodeo Grounds Mareeba at about 8am tomorrow Saturday 5th of October. If you’re as lucky as me and are staying in town for the long weekend, come on out and have some fun with us while we get started The fun will continue through next week in the afternoons after 3pm, so if you can, any help would be app...reciated. 07.01.2022 2020 has kicked off Our Raffle Ticket Sellers will be out as of Thursday with a Valentines Prize to be Won so please stop, say Hi and buy the potential Winning Ticket when You see Kay & John in the street for the next couple of weeks and at the markets this Saturday. . . Our First Family Night is planned for Saturday Night the 15th of February, 6.30pm kick off at The Bull Bar, Kerribee Park Rodeo Grounds in Mareeba. Everyone is Welcome to come and have a go on the stage, sin...g, play an instrument or just watch and enjoy the talent. . . Hamburgers, Steakburgers, Hot Dogs and Sweets available to purchase on the night with a bar and tea and coffee available as well. . . The Walkamin Country Music Club Talent Quest that was in the planning for August 2020 is also cancelled. These cancellations have not been made rashly, and have been made with the safety and wellbeing of our Club Members, Volunteers and the Supporting Public Community in mind and we Th...ank You for Your Understanding. As circumstances change or improve over these tough times, you will be informed immediately. . . Soooo, the annual FNQ Country Music Festival as it’s well known, will this year be ‘The Walkamin Country Music Club Talent Quest’ ONLY. . . This does not mean that it will be any less Fantastic, Friendly or Fun though. . . Watch this space for some Exceptional Reasons to come and compete in our Talent Qu...est!! 05.01.2022 Amidst the current COVID-19 crisis, The Academy of Country Music has regretfully decided to cancel the 2020 Junior Academy course that was scheduled for July in... Tamworth. It is a highly distressing time for the music industry, The CMAA and all of our members and staff during this pandemic, but due to the ever-changing restrictions, and the feedback we have received regarding the importance of networking, face-to-face learning and connecting, we feel that this is our only choice for 2020. At this stage we hope that The Academy can return in 2021. As we still don’t know how the health and economic conditions will play out between now and then, we are unable to give a clear indication of how and when The Academy (both Junior and Senior courses) will next be run, so please bear with us. We encourage you to follow our socials for any further updates and please stay connected.
