24.01.2022 So very proud of our Cross Country team today...we had students who overcame being sick and lots of nerves with all completing a fantastic race We had a number of students who placed in the top 10 today, including Angus who came second and brother Ben who came 3rd. All were winners today...I couldnt be prouder of our whole teamI heard lots of growth mindset and mindfulness talk...thanks Kate Foster a big thank you to our staff who attended today and our amazing parents who, once again, showed their tremendous support for the kids

So, so, so proud of our kids...they showed great sportsmanship, resilience and effort throughout the day...how close were some of those finishesIt was wonderful to see so many people supporting our students and thank you so much to those who helped us make today great by taking on a helping roleOur amazing P&C went over and above to makes sure we were all safe in COVID times...thanks P&C Also, lovely to see a number of our past students coming along today...some taking on the role of photographer for the day

07.01.2022 Last Wednesday marked the end of our weekly sessions with Kate from Kids Hub...this is the beginning of our journey of mindfulness. Kate was amazing and has introduced the kids to the parts of the brain and how they work together, deep belly breathing, check ins, noticing, dropping an anchor, self compassion, kindness to others and gratitude practice. Staff and students are practising their new strategies and using them throughout the day. We hope they are able to use these tools in the home environment as well. Kate will be back in a few weeks to check in with us to see how we are going. Thanks so much Kate...we have loved having you at our school

05.01.2022 We are very lucky to have Kate Foster, Kids Hub, visiting our school for 4 weeks...the journey began with a staff pl and then, on Wednesday, Kate started her first of 4 sessions with the kids. They focussed on learning the parts of the brain and how we need to be aware to prevent the flip the lid moments, check in, deep belly breathing each student would have brought home a brain model and may have shared with you their knowledge of the pre-frontal cortex and amygdalaKate Foster
