23.01.2022 Happy New Year from the team at Walker Seafoods. What an incredible journey 2020 was. We lost 90% of our business overnight in March. We never thought we would be selling our fish in a pop shop through our factory to survive. Thank you to all those retail customers that supported us (and still do). And it was a pretty special day when the Prime Minister came to visit. The goal posts were shifting daily and it was a big challenge to keep up. And whilst we are only exporting at 10% of our capacity we are proud to still employ our 50 staff. Our goal was to keep everyone fully employed which we have done. Thank you to all our customers throughout Australia for your support and loyalty through this very challenging year. We look forward to a better year in 2021. #fishing

16.01.2022 Exciting news for WSA today as we announce our Bigeye Tuna is now Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) certified! Our Bigeye is one of the few in the world to be certified MSC which is the world’s most credible standard for sustainable seafood. To be certified the ETBF underwent a rigorous assessment of its catch history, environmental performance and ecological impacts. Our fishery operates under a strict quota system set by the Australian Fisheries Management Authority(AFMA).
