17.01.2022 Greetings from Yurrwi (Milingimbi) on day 13 of the 2020 Election Campaign. It’s yindi djama (hard work) and it’s hot. I keep working hard every day to win votes because I can take nothing for granted. Voters in Nhulunbuy are getting what every other normal marginal seat gets when you have a hard working candidate with a track record of delivering, wanting to win - a knock on your door, a polite phone call, a flyer that says, don’t forget to vote. I lost by 8 votes at the... last election. For the past 4 years I have had people apologising for forgetting to enrol, forgetting to turn up, for going fishing/camping and not pre polling, going on holidays and not organising a postal vote and just assuming everyone else would vote to get me over the line. I have worked tirelessly to make sure that people know there is an election happening and that by 6pm on August 22nd people have all voted. With less than three days of voting to go, I will leave no stone unturned. I want to reach 6pm on Saturday and know that I have done everything humanly possible, to see every person vote and to do my best to capture those votes which might see me returned to parliament and to a Labor Government. And to see me returned as a strong, tireless and vocal advocate for everyone in this community and across all the communities and homelands of Mulka.

12.01.2022 That’s voting at Milingimbi done. Grateful for the support of these amazing and strong women. Crocodile Islands such spectacular land and sea country. Latju wanga.
