25.01.2022 They’re FINALLY here!! It’s my great pleasure to announce that the @ancientwisdomdistillery collection of hand-crafted artisan liquors are now ready for purchase. This little brief kept me busy throughout March-April this year and it’s truly been a labour of love. Thanks to @labelhousevic for their experience in bringing our designs to life, and to @micorpackaging for the great work on the gift packaging.... I’ll be showcasing the full collection over the next few days so for now I’ll start by showing off the Single Barrel Whisky and the Malted Choc Whisky (this one is really something special). And for those viewers astute enough to look closer, you’ll see we used different dragons on each bottle. The mythical creatures and their supposed homelands make subtle reference to the origin of the spirit inside.

13.01.2022 Retail design is hard! Its a difficult discipline to master because a) like all information design, for it to work it needs to be pleasing to the eye. And b) requires a great deal of information and detail that tends to threaten that pleasing aspect. The magic is in finding that balance of art and science that sets a clients cash register ringing!! 12.01.2022 I came across this little treasure today as I was tidying the office. As a designer, this is my holy grail! I was given these brand guidelines for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games by Jonathan Nolan who was the Image & Design Director of the games. It's a beautiful piece of design and limited to only 5000 copies so I consider myself incredibly lucky to own it! @ Walker Design Co.

I was in my final year at university, holding down a part time job as well as being on the organising committee for the AGIdeas Design Conference in Melbourne. (Im the one in the top left... handsome, I know). I remember I had the pleasure of chaperoning David Carson (and his ego) for the whole week. It was a fabulous year and a great opportunity that put me in good stead for my future career. I wonder what ever happened to the other committee members? 10.01.2022 In just over a month Sir Robert Franklin returns to the Melbourne Fringe Festival with his latest offering, Sir Roberts Sporting Legends. And once again, I had the pleasure of putting his face on a poster with type and a logo. 05.01.2022 @fortywinksaustralia wanted a logo that could be used to denote their products that are Made in Australia. This is what we designed and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Designed to work effectively in both print and online the mark is purposely succinct with references to both Australia and bedding.

04.01.2022 It's been a big few months for Walker Design Co. There's a lot of work to show so let's start with a range of brochures we designed for Caulfield Grammar School. This 52 page prospectus, as well as a 16 page boarding school brochure begins a rebranding of the schools publications. Deliberately minimalistic in layout, the use of white space and restrained colour palette helps to make the beautiful photography really pop! Client: Caulfield Grammar School... 02.01.2022 Lots keeping me busy lately. Here's a brief that went live a couple of weeks ago. The client needed a number of illustrations for a new store fitout. The idea being different ways in which Bubba Pizza make certain social situations better. I'm really happy with the way they turned out. 01.01.2022 Here's the design book I've recently had my work published in (I got a whole double-page spread!!) They used my 2016 self-promo poster to show how different layout grids inform on different methods of communication. It's a great book with some truly talented creative studios and you should all go out and buy a copy!
