With the Tornado season well and truly on its way, thunderstorms are indicated across the North-Eastern States of Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York. Furthermore, severe storms and tornadoes are also indicated to the Northern Districts of Texas, East Central Texas including Houston and parts of Kansas. Further States that can also be affected by these weather extremes are Virginia, Maryland and North Carolina. At this stage it is difficult to assess the category of these Tornadoes, but some should reach Category F3. Other extreme weather events include Dust Storms to Chicago and Illinois, flash flooding to Kentucky, Heavy rains to Louisiana and Mississippi. By late May we should also see the development of the Hurricane season whereby I am forecasting a system to develop and remain to the Southern and Mid-West Coasts of Mexico. 04.01.2022 RE: LONG RANGE WEATHER FORECAST - USA August 2018: Hurricane Season Ahead for The Gulf of Mexico:... The weather patterns across the United States are to continue for the month of August. I am predicting 2 hurricanes to form in the Gulf of Mexico and the first should head in a westerly direction towards Texas. From there the system should head north affecting inland areas slowly dissipating at the same time registering storms and tornadoes. As we are aware hurricanes, typhoons and cyclones have a mind of their own but with the intensity of the storm season there is a strong possibility these systems will affect the Coast and the adjoining inland areas. The second hurricane should form near the Bahamas and head west over the southern districts of Florida continuing towards Mexico. There are also 2 further systems to the West of Mexico forming in the Pacific Ocean, but at this stage I don’t believe these will have an impact on the Western region. Further activity is indicated to Eastern Pennsylvania with strong windstorms and tornadoes, flash flooding to Nevada, heavy thunderstorms to Philadelphia, strong microbursts to parts of Washington and Illinois.
